Have you been to Switzerland ? how did you find it overall ?

Mugin16 · 46-50, M
Yes, of course. I am Swiss after all and live here. Yes, it is an expensive place but the salaries are also high. People are not very outgoing and are rather reserved (at least in the German-speaking part - the French and Italian speakers are different) and it might take you a while to make friends. There are mountains but most people live in the flat part and it not that cold.

@Mugin16 You know me.... I was offered a place in Saint Louis and at first I said yes yes yes yes..I pictured it as a beautful place. Alsace is very beautiful and then....I looked it up and got very disappointed. Concrete sleep dorm city near Basel. My plane ticket was booked, my taxi reserved and all that. A very last minute affair.
Maybe I made the wrong choice I do not know
No but I heard the flag is a big plus

I loved it there. A very beautiful country
Yes a few times. Loved it. Are you going to Ski?
revenant · F
@Notladylike no. I might live just next door to Switzerland and commute there.
@revenant Yeah it’s expensive.
Beth35 · 36-40, F
Switzerland is nice if you love the Alpes
DownTheStreet · 51-55, M
It was expensive and I wouldn’t say the people are the most friendly, but it’s beautiful and good for outdoors person

Was only there for a few days, but I enjoyed it. But be forewarned it’s definitely not the cheapest place to be.
revenant · F
@DownTheStreet I decided not to go there and got cold feet
4meAndyou · F
I was there very briefly. We drove through on our way to Germany. I don't remember too much, except for the mountains.
DragonFruit · 61-69, M
Not yet, but I might as my cousin lives there.
revenant · F
@DragonFruit I have an opportunity to go near Basel but I am getting cold feet.
Mugin16 · 46-50, M
@revenant Basel is a very international place. You might have problems finding Swiss people there. Also you can live in France and work in Switzerland and thus benefitting from the high Swiss salaries and the lower French living costs.
revenant · F
@Mugin16 it is too late now. My brother suggested it to me about 3 days before my departure.
Never been there. But I have heard it's too cold and beautiful
Jacko1971 · 51-55, M
