Thank you for not giving up the fight, no matter how many people attempt to discourage you.
It is needed.
It is beyond me why they think acknowledging war crimes for what they are is doing Gaza a favor..it is for themselves not for Gaza. It is about being true to one's values and not creating any exceptions for their morality.
But unfortunately they all have dirty laundry and worry that anyone in power losing it might jeopardize their own seats. Not to mention the economic implications.
You are correct. Right now all crossings are closed BY ISRAEL's orders. People claiming that you can get in are motivated by their own biases. You can't get anything inside Gaza hence the starvation everyone is talking about. International aid workers are also trapped to suffer with the rest

The reason for this (very tepid) gesture is that they know a mass starvation is about to happen, and they want some plausible deniability. To my mind, they have none..
I've been away for a while, but I am going to do a long post on this.

nah cos i had a full debate on this for hours literally the other day

There will be conditions to that . Like it can’t be ruled by Hamas and any aggression towards Israel means the state will be dissolved . It’s a beginning at least . Looks like most gulf Arab states are on board too

@Longpatrol as it should. This statement is far more in line with what should've happened a long time ago
Okay, let’s not do it then. Better?
Why are you insulted - this isn’t about you.

@CGS1984 that isn't the flex you think it is lmao

@LeopoldBloom "I really wish someone would let these Palestinians in so Israel can successfully ethnically cleanse them".
You basically.
@CGS1984
Not that that it matters, people are human beings and should have the same rights as other human beings. But there are actually famous Palestinian scientists, authors, musicians, etc.

If you don’t clean up your act, we’re going to start recognizing these people’s rights!
HijabaDabbaDoo · F
@Straylight I swear to God, it's so beyond frustrating.

Really grim behaviour. I thought Labour would be better, even marginally, but it's just the same mong in a different coloured suit.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
Of course, none of this addresses the real issue...getting the Palestinians to recognize the Israeli state and accept living with them.
basilfawlty89 · 36-40, M
How about instead:
"If you don't stop committing genocide, we'll stop giving you free aid, money, military equipment, etc."

Trump is now threatening to tariff Canada because of it's position or recognize Palestine. The world cannot give in to the bullies of this world.

Palestine ahould be recognised as a separate state, no conditions
Ceasefire should happen now

American here. The media made us to understand this recognition of Palestine is predicated on PA removing Hamas(?). Not clear this is true, and, how realistic this is.
HijabaDabbaDoo · F
@tenente of course it isn't. Think about it, why would they now of all times, where things are beyond reproach and all laws have been broken, with millions of children being intentionally starved, would they only then want to remove the only thing they've used as an excuse for genocide? Surely they could've prevented it and recognised it well in advance? Hamas is their get out of jail card for everything. Getting rid of them will make Israel look worse than they already do because then there's no "but hamas" and only "yes we killed, starved, stole land, and restricted movement of an entire population"
