Maybe because in those three countries, only in Iran do the leaders say "Death to America"?
hippyjoe1955 · 70-79, M
@Thinkerbell Maybe if you looked into why Iran has been saying Death to America you would change you mind a bit. The shaw was installed by the US and when the people of Iran said no to the shaw and drove him from power America has been trying to bring down the people's choice ever since. Kind of election interference on steroids. Add to that that Israel who controls the USA wants Iran destroyed as a nation.....
Thinkerbell · 41-45, F
@hippyjoe1955

Read up on Iran's Gardian Council to see just how much of the "people's choice" the Islamofascist regime is. 🙄

hippyjoe1955 · 70-79, M
@Thinkerbell It DOESN'T MATTER!!!! The US does not get to determine how other nations govern themselves. Russia does not get to decide who is president of the US. Trump doesn't get to decide who is PM of England. The US is the only nation that has used nuclear arms to kill innocent civilians. The US is supporting Israel as it commits genocide. The US has NO moral authority left.

Cost and reward calculations where entered into and the cost of attacking North Korea was calculated as too high.. Same goes for the Indian calculation beck in the 1974...

In Irans case the reward was considered worth the possible cost..
Adstar · 56-60, M
@Sayana Iran is Not a peaceful country and has been involved in a lot of warfare since the fall of the Shah of Iran back in 1979.. Since then it has been involved in a big war against Iraq, In a long civil war in Syria, Iran backed Hezbollah in Lebanon in warfare against Israel.. Iran backed the houthis of Yemen in both a civil war in Yemen and warfare against Israel and backed Hamas in Gaza with it's terrorist and warfare against Israel..

Oh as it became the Persian empire in times past because it engaged in conquest against it's neighbors.. That's how Empires become Empires.. It's in the name,,,

Iran is a war monger nation of the most persistent type..

Of the three countries you mentioned I would say India is the most peaceful...
Sayana · 22-25, FNew
@Adstar I think Iraq used to be Rogue nation and it always attacked on Iran first.

Do you know, Irani girls are the prettiest in the world ?

Iran is a wealthy country and it can be a Superpower as well.
Adstar · 56-60, M
@Sayana Well i have seen some very beautiful Iranian ladies.. So i know about pretty Iranian girls.. 👍

And yes Iraq under Saddam Hussain was a rogue nation and yes Iraq did start that war with Iran by invading Iran.. So your point is true about the Iran Iraq war..
ArishMell · 70-79, M
Originally Iran was in a fragile pact with the USA, France, Germany and the UK that it would not develop nuclear weapons.*

Then President Trump unilaterally detroyed the USA's role in the treaty for no clear, but certainly no good, reason. With the Iranians thus betrayed by a country they do not particularly like anyway, at least ideologically, the other nations were unable to save the treaty.

The USA may imagine it can "stop" any country from doing anything - but it can not. If that country has the political determination and technical ability to make nuclear weapons, it will. Foreigners betraying an already very fragile truce then hurling high explosives at the country, only makes the situation worse.

The "nuclear arms race" was coined to describe the Cold War, in which the USSR and NATO competed to build ludicrous numbers of ever more powerful weapons for a war whose "victor" would be the one slightly less devastated than the other.

That never really ended; and I fear we are seeing a new one developing but with more countries involved, and in an increasing tangle of rival ideologies and ambitions.

+++++

* "Nukes". I refuse ever to use that awful word. Nuclear fission and fusion bombs are terrible weapons that should never be cheapened by slang on the level of that silly "Duck & Cover" cartoon tortoise.
MartinII · 70-79, M
Well one answer is that Iran is a signatory to the Non-Proliferation Treaty and therefore developing a nuclear weapon would be in breach of its treaty obligations. India has never signed the treaty and North Korea has withdrawn from it. There are, of course, other answers as well.
Khenpal1 · M
@Sayana doubt it will help , over all North Korea is economically too weak.
Sayana · 22-25, FNew
@Khenpal1 N.korae have nukes + N.korea having hypersonic missiles + N.Korea can dare to fire on USA

USA will suffer heavy dannage.
Khenpal1 · M
@Sayana hypersonic poverty 😂
NK is too close to China to start dropping bombs. China would likely get involved.
India has way more people than USA. If they could figure out their country they could be battling for top spot along with China right now.
CactusJackManson · 51-55, M
1) Clinton signed a "nuclear agreement" with North Korea when Little Rocket Man's daddy was dictator and didn't enforce it.

2)India isn't a rogue nation.
They did try decades ago
Convivial · 26-30, F
You're asking for logic, that won't do
HoeBag · 46-50, F
I think trump knows that India and North Korea wouldn't put up with it.

Sayana · 22-25, FNew
@Adstar China Brags a lot about PL-15 but once of it's missile did not work.
Adstar · 56-60, M
@Sayana Here is a report on the missle capture..

[media=https://youtu.be/zsW8tBQ_Pl8]

But it is no longer a secret.. Once they know all about it they will be able to design countermeasures to it..
Sayana · 22-25, FNew
@Adstar I think Pakistan had some advantage due to PL-15 missiles but India had S-400 that was acquired from Russia and it intercepted most Pakistani missiles, on the contrary Pakistan could not stop Brahmos missile.
Serkan · 61-69, M
