They use to say dark hair is the prominent,but not always.
Both my son and his baby momma had dark hair my granddaughter was blonde and now has light brown hair, just like her grandma when she was young .
I come from a family of ten with a mother who had brown hair and father who had black ,my youngest brother when younger had lighter ginger hair,my oldest darker red hair we also had 3 dark haired lasses, 1 blond lass, and 3 blonde lasses.
Same father for 9 siblings.
No use arguing with the internet "experts", however. 🙄

My mom's family is blonde. My dad's is very dark . I have very reddish hair naturally . It's darker now ...but still . Anyone can have anything. :)

Had an argument over recessive genes recently.

Many just don't want to understand how recessive genes work.

I had black hair at birth. It then all fell out and grew back in as bleach blonde.

Mom had brown hair and dad was a dirty blonde.

In my late twenties it gradually turned into my father's dirty blonde.

I know a family where mum is dark skinned with dark hair and dad is a redhead. All the children are gorgeous and have varying skin tones, 3 have darlk hair and one little girl has bright red curly hair and is covered in freckles! Shes so beauitiful.

I know a couple, both with dark black hair (now grey!) who have a red-haired daughter. Each parent had one red-haired grandparent. None of the the descendants of either grandparent had had red hair , until the recessive genes from these two came together.
