@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout No 😐 That is a conceited notion unsupported by evidence. Brexit caused a big headache for our major trading partners such as Germany and The Netherlands. But they had a plan B and have now moved on. Meanwhile, we have yet to replace the trade agreement that was so hastily torn up.

The post-Brexit world was upended first by the global Pandemic and then latterly by the impact of Russia's invasion of Ukraine. The true impact of the new world order won't be known for several years - let's be patient and reserve judgement until we're in possession of the full facts.

Stock markets are propped up using some fuzzy math, economic metrics are fudged daily, and people just don't have the time or energy to care. I ain't saying the world economy will collapse, but there are some scary realities behind the curtain, and some countries are just easy targets.

Recovering from the pandemic and high inflation is somewhat more complicated because of increased bureaucracy and restrictions on the movement of labour and goods following Brexit.
