Taking back control of our borders

24 hours - period in which on 11 July fifteen small boats with 446 migrants arrived across the English Channel from France.

21 hours - time it took some holidaymakers to leave England for France last weekend, 18 months after we Took Back Control of our borders . . thanks Boris! 🤣

Royal Navy collection, handed to Royal Airforce for flight to Rwanda. Held under military law as potential combatants with no right to remain in UK soil. Advertising of this methodology on international television and in newspapers so as many people are aware as possible.

At the same time embassy staff increased for processing legitimate requests to move to the UK.

Interesting picture. Not a lot of kids or women and they all have matching life jackets.
Before the UK left the EU these migrants would have to be accepted if they had been processed in the EU already.

@Entwistle Anybody can claim asylum it remains to be seen whether it's a valid claim.
SunshineGirl · 36-40, F
@GeniUs There are charities who will assist people determined upon making the journey with suitable clothing and protection for the voyage. 37 people died making this crossing last year.

@SunshineGirl Then stay where it's safe! I'll bet there are charities willing to move asylum seekers out of their country to another one, any other one.

Labour shortages in British agriculture mean that food crops are going unharvested and may be contributing to inflation in food prices.
The NHS is undergoing its worst staffing shortage ever (around one in four NHS hospital staff were born outside the UK:
Meanwhile a million unemployed. Look at it this way if you had a family business and family refused to work in it preferring to do nothing would you allow them to do nothing and pay them and then pay somebody else to do the job?
the young unattached men on the small boats are precisely the people that the UK needs to attract
Because we need more hand car washes and more unemployed (yes if a migrant takes a job that is one less for somebody born in this country).

The Europeans went to their countries by boats so why shouldn't those people be able to go to the European countries by boats?
SunshineGirl · 36-40, F
@Diotrephes No reason at all, this is not an anti-immigration post. It is poking fun at a government that claimed to be regaining control over borders by withdrawing from the European Union.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Who are the immigrants? From what countries?
SunshineGirl · 36-40, F
@Jimthere4fun At present we welcome migrants from Afghanistan, Syria, and parts of Africa.
