And those who argue for peaceful protest in cases like this they are really saying they want to see the cops beat the shit out of them or shoot them. Even Gandhi said peaceful protest only works if you are willing to volunteer to take a bat to the skull and that those who could not do so that violent resistance was required.
So your argument is literally that everyone in the FBI was magically terminally stupid and that this matches FBI official tactics across the board at that period? That is a stretch that leaves reality behind.

The USSR had any number of them, mainly for forced-labour in appalling conditions, in a system that became called the Gulag Archipelago. ("Gulag" was the Russian word for the camps.)
