Totally different ideology though just as ruthless, and the Nazis didn't invent concentration-camps, though they did invent their extermination camps.
A concentration-camp is just that - a large-scale prison-camp holding very many people, originally I believe prisoners-of-war - but it is a style of prison that has become associated with authoritarian regimes.
The USSR had any number of them, mainly for forced-labour in appalling conditions, in a system that became called the Gulag Archipelago. ("Gulag" was the Russian word for the camps.)
