Will you hand over a government ID to access email or social media services?

@SunshineGirl Back in the 1980's the very first attempt at a national ID card - The Australia Card - was proposed and public outrage caused it be quietly abolished. There have been a few proposals for a national ID scheme since. The big push now is on to try and make full digital ID mandatory for accessing any federal government service and most state governments are already using various digital ID systems for things like licensing.

Social credit scoring would link with fully programmable digital currency systems to allow government and third parties to decide what you are allowed to buy and have access to.

@justanothername Our government is pressuring services like Gmail to introduce forced provision of government ID by year's end. This might link with the push to 'ban' social media sites (including youtube) from under 16 y/o's by year's end.

@Guardian Indeed but it's not about cash it's about being forced to hand over government issued ID to access services like email, social media, etc. going forward.

Remember this is what people wanted. No more human control, robots control humans, the digital age.

Humans had the power to stop this from happening back in the 1980s but didn't listen to the smart people
