@Guitarman123 You're entitled to your opinion ,but your responses have nothing to do with the point of this post . How is it wrong to pay respects to a loved one that passed on ? Would you like people pissing on your mothers grave or calling you a fascist for laying flowers there ?
In the case of ww2 thanks but otherwise I feel nothing but pity for those forced or coerced into senseless warfare under the false pretense of defending freedom.

No country is perfect. But the free world knows, when the chips are down, they can count on soldiers from Canada, UK, U.S. and many others, to come to their aid. My dad fought alongside the Moroccan Mountain Infantry in Italy. Without brave men and women in the armed forces, this planet would be run horribly, by horrible people. Much worse than we have now.
@DogMan Sadly now the nations you held up as heros are being run by horrible people who trample their people's rights. Hell Trudeau froze bank accounts and called in the UN police to stop a peaceful protest. The US is busy throwing people in jail for being in Washington DC on Jan 6. All of them forced their citizens to get injected with what is now known to be a mass killer. Maybe those brave soldiers you talk about should rise up and overthrow their own tyrannical governments.
I plan to celebrate, with reverence, every fallen U.S. soldier this weekend. There are several I keep in my heart everyday, especially the one who died while saving my dad in combat.
Not my problem millions of young men decided to throw their lives away for nothing. Fighting to keep the money in the elites’ pockets. ‘Freedom’. 🤪🤪🤪 Our country is the laughing stock of the planet.

People come from around the world, just to walk a 1,000 miles to get to the USA.
People die just to try to come here. The only people that believe we are a laughing stock, are jealous people, that are not brave enough to come here. You know, only brave people come to America.
They must not know about the countries that you believe are better.

A few people here are very sad individuals. They have no idea what what the military does, or why they do it. Without the military, the world would be in utter chaos, with horrible people doing horrible things to all. Barbarians would rule the world. Haters need not reply. your opinions are naive and worthless to me, and only make me more secure in knowing that I speak the truth. Because I have lived everything I speak of.
People who sacrifice for there country are soldiers on duty. I respect those who protect us and everyone day and night from any threat. Americans did play a major role in both world wars infact they had to pay to those who suffered from colonial rules. There is a deep explanation but I won't share it on this post. @DogMan Your very welcome ,people want to argue politics but that's not what memorial day is about . It's about people that fought and died so those same people are able to speak freely even if i don't like what they say.
@kodiac I agree, I don't know why I argue on line. I was hoping I would not find some of these inconsiderate, naïve posts when I came back to town after the weekend. But I did expect it. As you probably read, my dad was a combat riflemen in Italy. He witnessed, and participated in horrible things, things that gave him nightmares off and on for his entire life. He passed away at 84. Luckily, being the stoic man he was, the war did not effect his life, other than in his dreams. I wrote a story about his time during WWII after he passed away. It's based on 2 scrap books that I received, with every letter he wrote to his mom, and all of his military documents. Let me know if you would like to read it, and I will email. It will be the most accurate, and true story about WWII you will ever read. PS. I coerced a lot of stories out of him after I went into the military.
