@SaDkiM The only reason I really like DC commics, is because of their Batman franchise. But Batman himself, well, he's cool and all but if he didn't have his rogue gallery it wouldn't be that great. But John Constantine, that's a character. Espescially the old runs. He started out in under DCs' Vertigo label. I think VERTIGO has the best titles annyway: Sandman, Lucifer Preacher, Hellblazer, Swamp-Thing, V For Vendetta, Y-The Last Man, Transmetropolitan, 100 Bullets, ... etc
@Elessar The movie doesn't really do a good portray of the source material. But it's pretty good. It could just be better if Keanu ain't in there. He's way to stiff to play John Constantine. But the movie was okay. Constantine had a series for a while, which sadly ran for only 1 season. Even with positive criticism it got cut.
Constanine is a ussually this broke marginal punker from Liverpool with a heavy accent. Bit of a deadbeat that is struggling with himself and the things he's seen and done. His birth and actions during birth condamned the world he lives in to be a dystopia. Like, he's literally the reason for our current day human condition, and sort of blessed and curses because of it. Constantly seeing his loved ones die in the most terrible ways has given him deep emotional scars but he constantly portrays this "I don't give a fuck" attitude. And well, he's smart, he pretty much screws everyone over all the time. Like everyone, no exceptions.
