Vintage lingerie

Anyone else like collecting vintage lingerie from the 60's and 70's. Why has sexy lingerie become a thing of the past?

Yes, I started looking at the lingerie section of the clothes catalogues when I was about 13 - this was the pre-Internet age so only way to see pretty girls in their underwear!

Absolutely love traditional lingerie/hoisery.

I have 3 complete dresses with petticoats from mid 1800s. Does that count?

They were my great great grandmothers dresses

I quite like the slips in the bottom photo, otherwise not really my thing.

A lot of nylon and other synthetic fabrics were used in making those clothes. I can almost feel the crackle of static off the page!

I have never seen anything as sexy as what my wife wore on our wedding night in that era. Or maybe it was the girl in the peignoir.

Probably because women no longer have to dress to impress men so much of the time. It's not that such things are unavailable, it's just that women buy other clothes now. And of course styles change with time an place.

Why not pine for crinolines? I found one of those on Finn.no

Or how about this chiffon baby doll?

OMG! I would die to own and wear any of these items! So completely and sensuously feminine! Nothing better than being a complete, sexy girl!
