Yea.... now is about doing the will of God.
@CloudAngel80 You can’t have a personal relationship with a fictitious construct!

No doubt “god” loves me the same way it slaughters innocent children and makes them suffer with incurable diseases 🤡

And you are contradicting yourself: the Bible says all of those silly old testament laws, yet you say they are not to be followed. Make up your mind!

@Adeptlinguist i can have WHATEVER i want, just as you..free will. So again respected as you are in your community, may you have a wonderful day.
As for why people suffer, children suffer, to love we suffer, to die we suffer..and you ask where is God? Well let me ask you a question...where were you before earth?

If Yeshua is the savior, than he’s the savior whether I accept it or not. Whether I ask for or not or need it. Whether I deserve it I don’t.

However, the way Christians especially American Christians talk about “Jesus Christ’. is a lot a like how characters talked about Harvey Dent and Batman.

Probably not very fun, but hey the Joker will ask me “Why so serious!?”

@Ferise1 theses " sins" are the otigional 10 commandments. NO MAN , WONAN NOR CHILD can keep them all because we all fall short. Theses are the origional laws of sin according to the old testament covenant, a promise God gave Moses on the mountain. When Moses seen the people dancing aroubd and worshipping the golden cow idol, he was FURIOUS! Moses broke the tablets and the laws were punishable by saccrifice. When Jesus was born in the New testament, laws were forgiven and punishable by death of Jesus on the cross creating GRACE AND MERCY. The new promise and new commandments were given to love God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and love your neighbor as yourself. Jesus being born gave us victory over the punishable sins of our past, his death on the cross took away sacrifices and his resurrection took away the guilt and shame! We no longer are under the law, we have FREE WILL TO CHOOSE! And although we must obey what we can, we must choose right from wrong..however, consequences still happen to free will. You are no longer a slave to sin or " religious " but now u got freedoms and a relationship in Christ.
You dont have to sin, we as humans CHOOSE TO, but Jesus grace, love, peace, mercy , and forgiveness changed it all. Its not a dont go to hell card, but it is an advocate with God so if we fo choose to mess up, God only sees Jesus. Theres a divine intervention, as well as a difference between repeatedly repenting to turn away and asking forgiveness with conviction. Vondeming our self we as humans continue sins that we know are wrong, but bei g convicted by the Holy spirit , we can choose to know what to look out for. Hope this helps somebody today...

@CloudAngel80 GOD is never changing the price of sin was paid by Jesus sacrificing himself. It’s represented in baptism. Before you are dunked representing the sins of the world, the dunking represents the sins being washed away and the emergence is the new you.

Before Jesus sin was only covered by sacrifice and sprinkling of blood upon your face. The only way to the FATHER is through the SON.
CloudAngel80 · 41-45, F
@specman exactly! Baptism is an outword showing..being dunked under water..for an inward knowing..a change of heart, soul, mind, attitude, lifestyle
Matt85 · 36-40, M
Many times.
Matt85 · 36-40, M
@Ferise1 I used to.
But we are not meant to go by feelings but to stand on the promises that are in scripture.
Ferise1 · 46-50, M
@Matt85 that’s convenient
Matt85 · 36-40, M
@Ferise1 not convenient, covenant.
Saviour from what?

@specman The Norse gods are at least plausible so I can accept they might exist in some form. For example, is Father Xmas/Winter the personification of that force which drives us to exchange gifts in winter? Gods that are self-contradictory, such as the christian god, are just not plausible.
specman · 51-55, MVIP
@Sharon walk by faith not by sight is the jest of the Christian religion.

@Sharontbh that’s hard sometimes

Not a chance, I don't want to risk upsetting Odin.

You mean like some sort of insurance broker?
Dayman343 · M
How does it work?
Sharon · F
@Dayman343 It doesn't. This Jesus character is just a myth.
Dayman343 · M
@Sharon He may have existed, I guess we'll never know for sure. It's just all the other stuff about him I'm dubious about
Sharon · F
@Dayman343 It's possible there was an itinerant preacher or just a rabble rouser (The PFJ?) but that name but there or no contemporaneous records to support that claim. It's certainly not credible that anyone could go around doing the things it's claimed he did without anyone, not even the Romans, making a note of it.

Another possibility it that the name was just a rallying call, a figurehead, of a rebel movement, much as some believe Robin Hood was.
