Yea.... now is about doing the will of God.
Adeptlinguist · M
@RisingMorningStar7 How do you know what that is?
RisingMorningStar7 · 36-40, M
@Adeptlinguist Simple stop seeing and doing charity and believe in him. The thing about Christianity is that you have to kiss sin go bye for all eternity. People assume by just believing you get into heaven..
Adeptlinguist · M
@RisingMorningStar7 That isn’t really an answer to my question. I asked how you know what its “will” is
RisingMorningStar7 · 36-40, M
@Adeptlinguist oh, because he laid it out in the bible and he says to believe in him is to do his will.
Adeptlinguist · M
@RisingMorningStar7 Do you obey this? If not, why not?
"You shall not wear a material mixed of wool and linen together." (Deuteronomy 22:11). This law is also mentioned in Leviticus 19:19.

@Adeptlinguist well Christ came to abolish the old laws of cleanse, and I'm sure laws like the one above had to do more with culutral aspects and how things were deemed back in that culture.
Adeptlinguist · M
@RisingMorningStar7 It is set out in the Bible. Are you saying you are selective in your obedience to “god”?
RisingMorningStar7 · 36-40, M
@Adeptlinguist No, I'm saying Christ in his sayings he abolish mosaic laws of old like cleansing rituals and what animals to eat, how the judges should judge the people when disputes happen.
Adeptlinguist · M
@RisingMorningStar7 But "god" and Christ are the same thing - it is set out in the Bible. How do you know which bit of it to believe?
RisingMorningStar7 · 36-40, M
@Adeptlinguist I believe what Christ says id pretty inspiring, and I see it as rather more of a coping mechanism, But I do believe in God even though sometimes my faith is weak.
Adeptlinguist · M
@RisingMorningStar7 So you choose which bits of "god" to believe, and are selective about following what is set out in the bible. Got it.
Adeptlinguist · M
By the way, weak faith is a good thing. Faith is irrational belief, and lack of rationality is not good.
RisingMorningStar7 · 36-40, M
@Adeptlinguist You need to read the bible and read what Christ said about the old laws from deuteronomy , leviticus, exodus, and numbers
Adeptlinguist · M
@RisingMorningStar7
No I don't.
Why should I believe a mythical entity that contradicts itself? A complete waste of time.
"Believe this me, not that one!" Yeah, right.
