"You shall not wear a material mixed of wool and linen together." (Deuteronomy 22:11). This law is also mentioned in Leviticus 19:19.

@Adeptlinguist well Christ came to abolish the old laws of cleanse, and I'm sure laws like the one above had to do more with culutral aspects and how things were deemed back in that culture.

@Adeptlinguist No, I'm saying Christ in his sayings he abolish mosaic laws of old like cleansing rituals and what animals to eat, how the judges should judge the people when disputes happen.

@Adeptlinguist I believe what Christ says id pretty inspiring, and I see it as rather more of a coping mechanism, But I do believe in God even though sometimes my faith is weak.

By the way, weak faith is a good thing. Faith is irrational belief, and lack of rationality is not good.

@Adeptlinguist to know the will of God, one must accept Jesus Cheist as your Lord and Savior. Savior means realize hes in control, he Lords over our wills and our wants. Gods will has two sides like a coin if you will..first is Gods perfect will, sovereign and holy > God EXSPECTS us to obey his laws, commandments, instructions..From the beginning in Genesis, we as a human race failed that one..so he gave us free will to exsplore his perfected will..in short words, God sees if im gonna mess it up so he will change things around to match his instructions. Example...Personally i accepted Jesus age 14, at a church camp. He wanted me in his PERFECT WILL to lead youth camp and teach teens at church. I did for 2 yrs! Tgen as i aged and became more mature and wanted my own will, i walked away from God for a while. 10 yrs later, in my sins and misery, the Holy Spirit convicted me while my fellow non believers condemed me..it was a struggle to want what God wanted and do what i chose to want to do. It was my flesh fighting my spirit. After all was said and done then God used my struggles to embrace his PERFECTION in me. I still struggle, and i will untill i give up my last breath onnthis side of heaven, yet God perfected his will in my life..i still am a sunday school teacher, i still work with youth and otger Christian followers, is it a dtruggle? ABSOLUTELY! But, it also showed me God makes us in his image as he sees fit. Its up to us to follow the bible, our instructions, on how to know Gods will. Hope this helps ya

@Adeptlinguist old testament laws. Not one person alive since Jesus can live by them. Not to be followed as they dont exsist, however , but to be remind3d Gods grace and mercy over condemnation and hell..

There are several big problems with this statement:

1. We are told that the bible is the perfect word of "god", yet now you say that actually that isn't the case.

Is the bible perfect or not?

2. We are told that "god" and christ and the "holy ghost" are one and the same - yet we are also told to ignore laws it told us to follow.

Which is true? Is it one thing or several? Is it confused? Does it have multiple personalities?

3. This statement suggests that mere humans can pick and choose which alleged statements of the "perfect", "good", "omnipotent" and "omniscient" "god" we are to take seriously.

And you wonder why rational people consider religion to be absurd and evil!

@Adeptlinguist it to me, is a " PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP " , NOT A RELIGION.
I PERSONALLY CHOOSE To serve God as my Lord, Jesus Christ as my Savior , and the HOLY SPIRIT as my comforter...And respectfully, if YOU CHOOSE not to believe in Jesus, his Holy Bible, and live accordingly the best way you can...then im sorry my friend but that's on YOUR soul. I pray you find forgiveness. I pray YOU see before its too late, that God Almighty loves you! No matter YOUR beliefs, opinions or thoughts, no matter mine or anybody else who has faith, THE BIBLE SAYS IT THAT SETTLES IT. Have a good day, and may Jesus return soon . And you are contradicting yourself: the Bible says all of those silly old testament laws, yet you say they are not to be followed. Make up your mind!

As for why people suffer, children suffer, to love we suffer, to die we suffer..and you ask where is God? Well let me ask you a question...where were you before earth?
