Why does god let bad people get away with things?

because God gave man free will. Bad things happen because someone made a poor choice

they don't... they'll pay dearly for it in the end...

Mortals simply don't see the justice that God hands down.

Which god are you upset with, the god of this world or the Creator of the heavens and earth? There are two of them. The god of this world works to get people to blame the wrong one.

It all goes back to Adam and Eve disobeying God by eating the forbidden fruit.

I have no idea but it seems to take God decades to punish these people.

I can't speak to why, I have no certain ideas. I can say, it is a weird feeling to be angry with God.😆 Maybe frustrated is a better word. 🤔 Kind of silly in a way too, like minuscule little me standing on a mountain venting to the Omniscient Entity...

Focus on being a good person yourself.
