I Believe the Bible Is the Inspired Word of God

"In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God. And the word WAS God" John 1:1

"All things were made by Him! And without Him was nothing made that was made." John 1:3

"And the word became flesh and dwelt among us. In Him was the life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in darkness, but the darkness comprehends it Not!" John 1:4

2 Timothy 3:16-: All Scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight, for disciplining in righteousness.
@Carazaa 1. That's your opinion. What evidence is there to connect your change of attitude to scripture?

2. That's just hearsay. Is there any corroborating evidence? Did you see Jesus rise from the dead? Odin also is supposed to have risen from the dead after being sacrificed on the Yggdrasil Tree. There are similar stories about other gods.

3. Who are "they"?

4. There is more to life than money. Other religions don't attach as much importance to monetary wealth as Christianity does. That said, Saudi Arabia, a Muslim country, is fairly prosperous.

5. That's what you believe. What evidence is there of a connection? Incidentally, he never answered my prayers.

@NortiusMaximus He hasn't answered your prayers because if you are not saved (have repented for your sins and believe that Jesus rose from the dead) He does not even hear your prayers, nor answer them.
@Carazaa Ah, got it. If I believe god is real, despite the absence of evidence, I'll be convinced I'm right. Is that what happened to you?

The Bible is infallible, human interpretations are not. Even though God's Word is perfect (see Psalms 19:7), as long as imperfect human beings exist, there will be misinterpretations of God's Word and false views about his world.

The few menial errors penned by man in translation, and in contrast to the whole Bible, are expected when you have something handed down over thousands of years, because man is fallible, but not the Holy Spirit. However, if naysayers would devote their time to careful bible study, they would see proof of no contradictions at all. The author, the Holy Spirit, is incapable of making errors, so the original manuscript was without flaw, just as God would have it. Regardless of man’s error in transcription through the ages, the main theme of the Word has never changed, and that is the most important thing to know...how to have eternal life.

The Bible cannot err, since it is God's Word, and God cannot err. This does not mean there are no difficulties in the Bible. But the difficulties are not due to God's perfect revelation, but to our imperfect understanding of it. The history of Bible criticism reveals that the Bible has no errors, but the critics do.

@Carazaa
Christmas Day is not a prophetic day however it was picked because of other reasons.
We know that but why deliberately choose the wrong date when the correct date is stated in the bible?

1. What do you mean by "God the holy spirit" entered your heart and how do you know which spirit, if any, it was?

2. I know followers of other religions who say similar things about their beliefs and/or god(s). I suppose all gods are equal in that respect.

Just picking one of the "fulfilled Bible events" at random -
"For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. (Isaiah 9:6)
Jesus claims
And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. (Matthew 28:18)
There is no evidence the government is on his shoulders, just his unsupported claim. Sorry but that just doesn't cut the mustard as a "specific fulfilled prophecy". Isaiah doesn't even predict when it would happen, it's open ended.

The precise day of Jesus birth, and Him entering Jerusalem to bring peace and start his ministry, I believe is stated in Daniel, thousands of years well before his birth, I have heard scholars explain it is to the exact day. I have no idea why the day of Christmas is celebrating his birth, because it is the shortest day, and a pagan holiday maybe?

I. I am convinced it was the Holy Spirit because I was changed, loved God, and had love and understanding for everyone, when I hadn't before. I can't explain it any other way.

2. Only Jesus pays the price for humanities sin, no one else can do that.

3. I am not a Hebrew scholar but I suspect that the "governmen"t means everything that governs the world. But I am not sure.
@Carazaa
I have no idea why the day of Christmas is celebrating his birth, because it is the shortest day, and a pagan holiday maybe?
It definitely is a Pagan holiday. As the day of his birth is precisely predicted in the bible, surely it's disrespectful to ignore that and celebrate a Pagan festival instead?

1. OK. So you've no real evidence, just a feeling. That fine if it works for you but it's really no different from someone feeling Lady Luck is smiling on them when they experience a fortuitous event.

2. That's just your unsupported opinion, it's not evidence.

3. Doesn't the bible make the meaning clear? I find it very strange that anyone can believe in something without knowing for sure what it is.

Then you're an idiot.
Carazaa · F
It's never OK to be abusive! Its always important to be kind and have good manners. But I still care about you!
Allelse · 36-40, M
@Carazaa Nope. If you dont tell people that they're being an idiot then they will never learn. Like if you saw some moron who was convinced that it was safe to dive into a volcano, you'd say 'No, dont do that, you're an idiot". See its the same thing.

You can warn them without calling them names. That's what I am doing. What are you warning me of?

You got it wrong, girl. You’re the one with the snotty attitude. Grow up. @Abrienda
Abrienda · 26-30, F
@Abrienda WELL LADTGRACE! You went out of your way to pick a fight with me and when I warned you not to you BLOCKED me SO you could take the cheap shot of attacking me without (you hoped) my ability to see and reply to it! Not very "LADY"-like. There is another five letter word that fits you better.

You also called me "girl" in the reply I cannot directly reply too... well I guess at 70 most WOMEN who support themselves would be "girls to you.

Really though you have chosen a weasel's way of dealing with this. It was a fight YOU picked for no reason on a reply not made to you, then thought you could sneak in a reply and make it seem as if I had been stopped by your brilliance. That day would never come.

Pathetic.
Carazaa · F
@Abrienda Ladygrace blocked me too because I disagreed with a few bible interpretations! But Because I am a Christian and Jesus wants us to be loving I unblock people after a few weeks but not this person! So some say they are Christians but not true! We shall know them by their love!
