If you were to die today, are you 100% sure you'd go to Heaven?

Read this Gospel message to find out how you can know for sure:

The Bible Way to Heaven

1. Admit you are a sinner.

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; -Romans 3:23

Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: -Romans 5:12

*No one is good enough to go to Heaven on their own merit. No matter how much good we do, we still come short.

2. Realize the penalty for your sin.

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. -Romans 6:23

Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: -Romans 5:12

And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. - Revelation 20:14-15

But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. - Revelation 21:8

*There is a payment for our sin which is eternal death in a place called Hell and the Lake of Fire.

3. Believe that Christ died, was buried and rose from the grave as a payment for your sin.

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. -Romans 5:8

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. -John 3:16

For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps: Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth: Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously: Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. - 1 Peter 2:21-24

And we are witnesses of all things which he did both in the land of the Jews, and in Jerusalem; whom they slew and hanged on a tree: Him God raised up the third day, and shewed him openly; – Acts 10:39-40

For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: - 1 Corinthians 15:3-4

And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. - Acts 16:30-31

*Salvation is simply putting your faith (or believing) that Jesus Christ paid for your sins.

4. Understand that salvation will last forever.

In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began; -Titus 1:2

These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. - 1 John 5:13

And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. - John 10:28

That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. -John 3:15-16

That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ. In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory. - Ephesians 1:12-14

*When God saves you he gives you “eternal/everlasting” life; in other words, life that will never end; life that will last forever. So, when he saves you it is forever. No matter what you do after you receive “the gift of eternal life” it can never end. Otherwise God lied, and we know that God “cannot lie”.

5. Pray and ask Jesus Christ to save you.

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. -Romans 10:9-10

*Eternal life is a gift purchased by the blood of Jesus and offered freely to those who call upon Him by faith. Anyone who believes on the Lord Jesus Christ will be saved forever. Being saved is a one time event. All you have to do is ask.
Let me help you word a prayer. Realize it is not mere words that save, but your faith in Jesus Christ.
Dear Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I know I deserve to go to Hell. But I believe that you died on the cross, were buried, and rose from the grave to pay for my sins. Please save me and take me to Heaven when I die. Amen.

The idea that a human soul belongs in Heaven and that Earth is merely a temporary abode in which the soul is tested to prove its worthiness became increasingly popular during the Hellenistic period (323–31 BC). Gradually, some Hebrews began to adopt the idea of Heaven as the eternal home of the righteous dead. So, unfortunately, I'm afraid that heaven is a human construct, just like hell is. The first documentation of hell was in Babylon around 300 AD. The Jews did not believe in a place of eternal torment or torture; consequently, hell is not mentioned in the Hebrew Bible, which is essentially the Old Testament.

With the exception of the Orthodox branch, Judaism has abandoned the concept [of hell ] altogether, believing that the idea of eternal punishment is inconsistent with God's mercy. Christians tamed the horrors of hell by saying the flames of the Bible are allegorical and that the true punishment is the soul's separation from God.

If God is omnipotent why does he create people he knows he's going to send to hell?
Vin53 · M
@TheWildEcho If he's that desperate can't he just make an exception in this case? I mean, I understand rules are rules but after all, he is God right?

@Vin53 Firstly, I'd like to point out what Isaiah 55:8 says, "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord."

It is true that effectively, the only reason why a person goes to Hell is because they reject Christ as their personal Savior. Albeit, the gift of forgiveness of sins and eternal life must be received by faith alone in Christ alone. 1st Timothy 4:10 says that Jesus “is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.” So Christ is the Savior of ALL men, but that doesn't mean all men are saved. The gift is waiting, and MUST be accepted by faith in Christ. So if a person refuses to obey the Gospel, by believing it, then they are still in their sins. It is true that Christ died for all sins (past, present and future), but until a person receives that free gift, they are still in their sins. John 8:24, “I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.”

So God does send the unbeliever to Hell for the sins that they commit, to be punished for those sins for ever (“and the books were opened,” Revelation 20:12-15); but as you say, since the only way of escape is through believing on the blood of Christ (Romans 5:9), then effectively, from a certain perspective, the only reason a person really goes to Hell is because of their rejection of Jesus Christ. The only sin that can keep a person out of Heaven is not believing (trusting) the Gospel.

You see, the Lord God of the Bible is the type of God that searches the deep thing of the heart. God gave every man free will and in order for there to be free choice, there must be evil, hence the existence of Satan, because if good was all that there is, then no one would know what good is, so man would be robots on repeat. I am not sure why God creating Satan boggles the mind of people. If God did not create Satan, then all of mankind would live in a perfect world and in such a perfect world, you can't honestly say that mankind truly loves God.

Here's an example: it's easy to say that you love Jesus when Jesus Christ is good to you and everything in your life is going perfectly, but when you go through hard times, tears, death, sorrow, health problems and financial problems, loving God becomes more of a challenge. So, the Lord God set it up like this in place to see if man truly loves God.

You can't honestly say that Adam and Eve truly loved God without the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and the creation of Satan to truly show what is in their heart. Think about this, it's so simple: God is that type of God because, think about this, if you were God who lived all of eternity, would you be happy living all of eternity with robots loving you? You wouldn't be happy like that. You would prefer a real kind of person that has free will and free choice who chooses to love you. God created man with a free will.

The reality is that the God you want to exist, a god who wouldn't have created Satan, would be evil. He would be a celestial dictator holding us on strings as robots. What kind of a God would want that or get joy out of that?

You'd probably say, "why did God have to create Satan and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil to see if man truly loves Him. Couldn't he have done it through other means?" You, as an imperfect human are standing in judgement of God with the epicurean paradox argument. Well, this is the universe we are living in. Are you able to create a universe?

God is not the same thing as man. Of course, an imperfect man has no right whatsoever to put a tree of good and evil or a lucifer or anything drastic and dramatic like that to see if a person truly loves you, because you're man and imperfect you might be doing that out of a selfish kind of way and for the wrong kind of purposes, but God doesn't because He is 100% perfect. All of God's ways are perfect because God is 100% perfect.

The best way that can truly expose the heart of man that where he 100% loves God is that you bear it all open, find the thing that causes man not to love God and go through all of those things to see if mankind truly loves God or not. That is why we have trials and sufferings in our lives. And Christians become more holy and love God more and more through the trials, because that is the best thing to expose 100% that you love Jesus Christ. But if you had everything perfect in your life, that is not the way that exposes 100% that you love God. You prove that God exists even more when He does this kind of a test.

God is such a brilliant and perfect God. Something you have to get over is that God decides what is good and what is evil. God decides what is righteous. Not you. God knows the entire past, present and future and how everything is going to turn out. You do not. Get over it.

1 Corinthians 2:10 - But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

1 Corinthians 2:16 - For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? but we have the mind of Christ.

You have no right whatsoever to question God and how he does things, because you don't search the deep things of the heart like God does. You yourself don't even know your own heart. God knows you more than you know yourself. So, God has the perfect right to do this kind of method to see if you truly love Him. That's the best way to expose 100% love.

There are many prideful and arrogant people like you who think that they can stand in judgement of God. Many fools like to loudly proclaim that the God of the Bible is unrighteous. Firstly, let me say this, and bear with me while I make a point: there are about 8 billion people in the world. 8 billion people who have very different opinions and views from one another. Everyone thinks differently, having different political opinions, different philosophical views, religious views, views about everyday things and just about everything.

Now here's my question for you: if there are 8 billion people on this world all with dramatically different views on a variety of different subjects, why would you for one second assume that the creator of the universe, the God who created everything just happens to agree with you on everything. That is what people think today. Atheists and others stand in judgement of God because they expect God to agree with them on everything. It doesn't make any sense. You've got all these different people with all these different views Not only that, but throughout our lives our views on things change.

But yet you expect to read the Bible and have God thinking just the way you think and agreeing with you on everything. You expect God to be just like you. That's your problem. Think about how insane this is. Basically what you are saying is that you are this unique unicorn where your personal views and what you think in your heart is the exact way the creator of the universe thinks and feels. They have a God complex. You think that you have all the correct answers within and expect God to match that perfectly. Then if God doesn't match that perfectly, you're going to judge God. And you'll start to question: "Why would a loving God do this?" "Why didn't God do it this way?" "Why would God allow this to happen". The Atheist approaches the Bible expecting God to agree with every feeling and thought they have in their heart that seems true, which is the utmost arrogance.

Now, what are these feelings and thoughts in the heart that seem true? It's everything you've watched on TV your whole life, it's a combination of everything you've heard on the radio, read in magazines and books, learned from your parents, learned in school and everything the media has taught you. Can you really trust that? Do you think that you're the final judge of what's right and wrong? You see our own heart is not a trustworthy source of truth. In fact, the Bible says "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?" - Jer 17:9

So, I decided to put my faith and trust in what the Word of God says on every subject and when what I think and the Word of God says conflict, I am going to say that I am wrong and The Bible is right. I made the decision a long time ago that whatever the Bible says I am just going to believe it because the Bible says "He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool...." It also says in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths."

Now, obviously we should listen to the leading of the Holy Spirit in our lives, but the Holy Spirit will speak to us through God's Word and bring God's Word to our remembrance. He will point us toward the Word of God. He will guide us in all truth.

On the contrary, those who are not saved are lead by their own inner voice, which is a result of aforementioned influences. The kind of inner voice that says, "Would a loving God really torch Sodom and Gomorrah? That just doesn't FEEL right to me." Well, who the hell are you? You're nobody. Who cares what you think. Your opinion is just what happened to be taught to you by culture and society. And society and culture had radically different views just a couple of decades ago. So, what doesn't seem right to you in the Bible is irrelevant. The Bible says in Proverbs 14:12, "There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, But the end thereof are the ways of death."

Why put your faith in a society and CULTure that is constantly changing? The Word Cult is in culture for a reason. Put your faith in the God of the Bible, who NEVER changes. "For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.” - Malachi 3:6
"Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever." - Hebrews 13:8.

Gods Word is the final authority. Let God be true, but every man a liar! Let God be righteous and let us be unrighteous. We are wrong and He is the one who is right. That is where you need to get in life, my friend.

You'll probably say, "how can you just blindly believe the Bible?" How can you just blindly believe what your cartoon, movie, rockin roll music filled mind tells you what is right all the time? What are you listening to? Some voice inside that just happens to be telling you whatever TV and the media is telling you? Isn't it interesting that you have an inner voice telling you the same things that millions of other people are being told by their inner voice, that nobody had an inner voice telling them that in the 50's, 60's and 70's.

God's not unrighteous, You're unrighteous. We all are unrighteous. God is right. Everything God does is right and all of his judgments are right. He's right about every subject all the time.

Many feel that it is not right for God to punish sin. God is the author of righteousness and He decides what is righteous and what isn't. You don't. You don't get to stand in Judgement of God. God is the one who makes the rules.

Now when we think about God punishing sin, the big subject is Hell, because the ultimate penalty for sinners is to spend eternity in Hell. Many struggle with this. And I'll be honest, there have been times in my life where I have struggled to wrap my mind around the concept of Hell. But let me say this, God is love. Wouldn't you say that the love of God passes all understanding? Ephesians 3:17-19 says, "That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God."

God's wrath is the same way, It passes all understanding. No one has love like God has. God is the ultimate in love and He is also the ultimate in vengeance. True love must also hate evil and sin, otherwise it is a fake love. Romans 12:9 says, "Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good."

So, if you can't grasp or fully wrap your mind around the love of God because it passes all understanding, if you can't fully relate to the love of God or if you can't come close to having that kind of love in your heart, why would you expect to understand or have the level of vengance in your heart that God has in His heart. The foolish atheist would say, "Well, I wouldn't send all of those people to Hell." Yeah, but you wouldn't die on the cross for people either! You wouldn't go to Hell for anyone either. But yet Jesus Christ died on the cross for us, He took the upon Himself the sins of the world and took the whole brunt of the wrath God the father poured out on the Son and He went to Hell for 3 days and 3 nights. That is an amount of love that I can't comprehend because I don't love anyone to that level, and if you are honest, you would say the same thing.

If we can't grasp the love of God, why would we think that we can grasp the wrath of God. God's wrath is also on this other level that we can't process. God is so far beyond us on His love and His justice. Vengeance is not necessarily a bad thing because it stems from God's righteousness. So, if you try to process Hell and the wrath of God just like you struggle to process the love of God, because you would find it hard to believe that God has forgiven someone like Jeffrey Dahmer and that Jeffrey Dahmer is in Heaven right now because He ended up believing on the Lord Jesus Christ and getting saved.

At the end of the day you have to realize that you are not God. He is God. He makes the rules. And there is no other God to compare Him to. Isaiah 40:25 says, "To whom then will ye liken me, or shall I be equal? saith the Holy One." There's only one God, so whether you like Him or not, He's the only one you've got. This is the only universe you were born into. There's only one God and He is who He is. He even says, "I am that I am." (Ex 3:14). Deal with it. You can either get on His program or get smoked. What's funny is that many atheists think they are so clever and smart because they have all of these arguments against God that are so absurd (professing themselves to be wise they became fools) and they talk about "the problem of evil." And many atheists have said that they became atheists because they started thinking about "the problem of evil." Many atheists don't want to believe in the God of the Bible because they consider Him to be a malevolent, unpleasant and mean God. Richard Dawkins said it is possible that aliens created us, but that it can't be the God of the Bible because he thinks that the God of the Bible is unpleasant and mean. That's not logical. That's not scientific. Obviously Richard Dawkins is wrong. God is not malevolent, mean or unpleasant, but hypothetically, even if he was, why would that mean that God doesn't exist? That's pretty stupid logic. These atheists are nowhere near as logical as they lead you to believe.

Also, if you do not believe in God, you therefore have no objective standard for truth, so you have no basis for your moral questioning or claims. Your world is a relativistic, subjective and solipsistic one.

Read Genesis through Revelation. That is what God is like. It doesn't matter if you disagree with some things. You are one out of 8 billion people who all have different opinions and you don't just happen to line up perfectly with God in every opinion. What a shock!

Don't worship your own limited and faulty mind. The atheist worships his own intellect and reasoning. Just think about it: the intellect and reasoning that the atheist worships comes from a limited brain that can only detect 0.0035 percent of the electromagnetic spectrum -visible light - (of which that entire electromagnetic spectrum itself is only a fraction of what can be seen and exists in the universe). A brain that can't hear a dog whistle or even see certain patterns on plants that some insects can see. A limited 3 pound brain that certainly cannot fit the infinite God of the Bible inside of or in the tiny box of "proof" and "evidence" which that limited brain has created. They are slaves to their 5 senses, to materialism and to all of the influences of society and culture, which is constantly changing.

Put all of your faith/trust on the Lord Jesus Christ and His Word - the final authority, which never changes and brings real peace, real purpose and real direction in your life. Without this trust, you gain absolute faith in materiality, superficiality, status, selfishness, hedonism and consumerism. If you don't trust in God and the final Authority - the Bible, you are living in a false world where everyone is an accident, everything is relativistic and all that that really matters is me, me, me.

Folks, what are you exalting today? Is it something that is going to fade away? Are you worshipping the things of a very confused and insecure world that is all going to burn? Why?

I worship that which is eternal - a living, risen savior - the Lord Jesus Christ - who is now beyond space, time and matter, as shown in the Holy Word of God which is eternal: "The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever." - isaiah 40:8.

@SW-User All fine and dandy but still doesn't answer the question if God is all knowing and omnipotent than why is he creating people he knows are going to hell? There's no logical answer to that.
“You believe in a book that has talking animals, wizards, witches, demons, sticks turning into snakes, burning bushes, food falling from the sky, people walking on water, and all sorts of magical, absurd and primitive stories, and you say that we are the ones that need help?”

I'm not afraid of hell so I don't care all that much. I actually care about the pain of death rather than the afterlife. Everyone's journey is their own, wherever I end up is meant for me and I'll make it my own if the afterlife is truth. Plus I belong to Santa Muerte, I'm relatively agnostic about it though. I don't know either way if anyone is right or wrong but I also know I'm not scared of anything at all.

I do have fears but the afterlife isn't really one of them whether it exists or not. If there was Jesus and let's say you were 100% right, he would understand where I'm coming from if it were a just God. But if he's unjust, that's not the kind of God I would want anyways.

I've been told I'm going to hell. It beats eternal choir practice surrounded by "christians.".

Heaven nor hell exists except as fear and intimidation tools.
Blow away the Pauline stuff and just quote the Gospels.

@Dumbman Read the Gospel message in this post then. It is easy to get saved and once you are saved, you will know that you are going to Heaven. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ today. Once you place all of your trust in the Lord Jesus Christ and what He did for you on the cross, the death, burial and resurrection, then you will be saved immediately. It happens in a moment of time. It is by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone. You can't add anything to that. You can't also trust in yourself, your own works or any other system. ALL of your faith has to be in the Lord Jesus Christ. It is easy and simple to get saved because God is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may KNOW that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. - 1 John 5:13
