What's your opinion on the Liam Neeson controversy?

I think he confessed something that he knew was wrong and is remorseful for it. People make mistakes at least he's being honest.

I think he was confessing something he felt very guilty about - and he didn’t have to. So people should be helping him rather than attacking - without justifying his comments we can still help rather than condemn people.

I don't believe his story but the way he said "black b***tard" sounds like he really meant that. Also, no apology, just excuses......on top of that this was 40 years ago in northern Ireland, I'm fairly sure there weren't many black people there (that maybe me indulging in racism?) and he made it sound like he was in the mix with black people and was waiting, for a week, for someone to step out of line so he could kill them......doesn't add up, but that's all speculation

The controversy is something to talk about... it happened 40 years ago, which does make it seem less severe... however, people shouldn't be thinking like that regardless. I do not know what his aim was in talking about something that happened 40 years ago, but he should have known it would have resulted in a public backlash.

What's happening to him is not fair. His experience explains how people get into being racist. It just takes one event. What should matter is how he leaved his life after that incident. Do people working with him have any recollection of a racist incident?
