13F and hoping to join the United States Army when I’m 17.

Stay physically fit. They run you 5 miles pretty much when you get off the bus in basic! Try to understand the process. Someone will yell at you, it's not an accident and they aren't being mean. It's to see how you react under stress. pay attention, listen carefully and follow instructions. Does your school have a color guard or drill team you can join? Can you shoot, is there somewhere you can learn? Have you taken any martial arts training? Do you have an end game in mind, as in career or skills you want to gain for later?

@GerOttman Well I’m in the 8th grade so I’m not in high school yet. I’m sure I’ll finished enrolling before this February, but I don’t know if they have anything about my new high school yet. I still need my withdrawal and transcript papers. I honestly don’t know anything on how to prepare. I’m working on the running, I run to school and back. I go for runs every day too. I go to the gym, I eat tons meats and protein too.

Join ROTC, or the US Military Academy. Becoming an officer is the way to go. Study hard, get really good grades, and you will be in a great position for your future.

Good for you !
Join the Air Force. Much better quality of life.

@Sojournersoul The Air Force just doesn’t seem like a branch of feel fulfilled being in, I don’t mean anything by it, I just want to join the Army.
@justanoun maybe when you are older, you will change your mind. Hope you still want to join when you are older.
