Age and finances have made it possible for me to move my status to a parttime fill in associate. With the holidays approaching, it will fall into fulltime for the upcoming weeks. I miss the fun at work, but escaping the everyday routine of work has been a blessing in my life.

Officially I am retired with SS and also collecting a pension from one of my past jobs.

But I cannot sit still long (LOL), so I am president of a group of small manufacturing companies. Keeps me busy, but even with the current challenges of the supply system shortages it rarely overwhelms me.

I`m retired but I think I am actually busier than when I was employed. 🤔

Just a heads up. When you retire tell as few as possible. They tend to think you have all kinds of time. 🙄

But let me tell you...lol.. I work hard in my gardens in the growing season for our food, then I start cutting wood with my husband in the fall and winter. Plus.. home chores and cooking keep me busy.

I've been trying to figure out what I can do work-wise since I got sick. Now, eleven years later, I have absolutely no idea what to do with myself and am in too much pain to really care.

I'm currently working at a bar for an apprenticeship, although still not earning enough to support myself so probably going to be getting my dad's money for the rest of my life, although I probably want to quit the job after a year and so something else... for that, Idk what it's going to be

I've been caring for other people for most of my life from the age of 9.

As I get older, I know that I am not going to be able to do it for much longer and it scares me to try and think about something else that I could do for work. Most traditional jobs are out of the window for me.

I either need to start my own business or retrain into a job that I can sit down and do. Though financial abuse makes going to school impossible for me to do.

I’m just waiting for my boss to realize that I could do this from home.

Pfft! Work is how I've spent most of my time the last 35 yrs (34 yrs with current company) and fair bit the 8-10 before that.

Day is coming where that's gonna stop .. and I can't wait.

I can’t not be working. Started working since 13. Always had a job since. Managed to secure two trades and work full time.

I can’t fathom how people don’t work or complain about not having money unless there’s literally something wrong with them physically or mentally.

Self employed and love it. However I have a second unpaid job; head cook, launderer, dog caretaker, house cleaner, gardener and vehicle caretaker. My wife is the boss and a slave driver.🤣

I started a new job the last week of September.

I’m lucky, I’ve only been unemployed for one week since I left school 20 odd years ago. I think I’d go crazy if I was caught in that fix.
