Well satan enticed Eve with the expectation of her becoming a god like God.. Satan wants to become a god equal to god.. And what do mormons teach as part of their doctrine???
That if you do well enough as a mormon your will become a God and rule over your own world of spirit children..
So mormons believe they will eventually become divine.. The same thing that cause the fall of mankind in the garden of eden..

@PatientlyWaiting25 Well as far as Christian like cults Mormonism is the only one that i know of that teaches it's adhearants that they can become gods like God..

It is about what is in your heart, not what church you belong to. I was baptized as a Southern Baptist (My choice) at 9 years old, and because my grandfather (who was a Bishop in the church got custody of me at 11 ) wanted it, I was baptized (converted) as a Mormon at 11. I no longer believe in any organized religion because I feel they are all corrupt. I spend every day studying the Word myself. It all has to do with your heart. If you study for yourself, you will not be misled. 🙂

It's something you need to ask Jesus. Pray and ask him to reveal what the truth is. Who is Jesus and who is God?
The Bible will help you to see who God is too. These are some passages to help you make a start.
God claims that Jesus is God. Hebrews 1:6 says 'and again when God brings his first born into the world, he says "Let all God's angels worship him" we see from this verse that God is speaking. Then in Hebrews 1:8 it says 'But about the son, he says "your throne O God will last forever and ever" Here we can see that God calls Jesus God.
Jesus claims that he is God. John 10:33 "We (the Jews) are not stoning you for any good work" the replied "but for blasphemy, because you a mere man claim to be God"
John 20:28 Thomas said to him "my Lord and my God" so here we can also see that Thomas was acknowledging Jesus as God.
The LDS Church are not teaching the truth. The truth is that Jesus is God and it is only by faith in Jesus that we can be saved. There are not different levels of salvation and there is nothing that we ourselves can do, it's a free gift from God.
Ephesians 2:8-9 tells us 'For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast'
John 6:28-29 "Then they asked him "What must we do to do the works God requires?" And Jesus answers "The work of God is this: To believe in the one he has sent"
Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord" ❤
