I'm dieting right now, but it's only had a miniscule effect on my weight loss. I'm saving up to buy a 2-in-1 exercise bike/elliptical machine soon, which will help a lot. I just have to be patient and realize that I didnt gain the weight in a day, so it isn't gonna come off in a day either!!
Dieting helps you lose weight faster than exercise. Just remember that. I used to be pretty fat. I'm down to like 180-200 (I'm 5'10) now. I took the weight off by hardly eating. After about a week you won't feel so hungry anymore.
@SW-User I eat 1200 calories or less per day. So that plus more exercise will hopefully do the trick. 🤞🏻

@DearAmbellina2113 It's not as simple as calories in, calories out. You should eat a lot of protein and avoid carbs. If you do have carbs, go with complex carbs. Avoid sugar like it's the devil.
@SW-User yeah sugar is my only vice. I have cut out bread, pasta, rice, cake, cookies, etc. But I still have sweetener in my coffee and I eat Greek yogurt with cocoa powder in it (12 grams of sugar). 😭
Okay.. 80% of your weight loss will be diet. Thats just how life works. But time is your friend. Losing slowly vastly increases your chances of making it permanent. So persevere..
You’ve taken the most important step in committing to change. It’s true that eating has way more impact than exercise. I’m 160lbs and a mile of running or walking only burns 100 calories for me. I exercise a lot, up to 10 hours per week, but it’s intermittent fasting that lets me control my weight. I’d recommend YouTube videos or podcasts with Alan Fung that explains the basics. Good luck and be sure to post your progress on here to get the support and feel the accountability that comes from a community like this.
What’s important is that you are comfortable with you. So if losing weight is gonna do it for you then by all means get on it.. personally I think you look great.
@Lostpoet I love jogging!! But I live in Texas currently, and it is WAY too hot to jog outdoors right now. (Hence why I am saving up for the equipment)

Pretty much one of the biggest changes when I was losing weight was in my face and it was just hella drastic. 😂 I look at before and after photos and I'm like "Who is this???"
