Should I be offended when someone asks if I used ChatGPT for a well-written work email I sent?

Sweetie, it's more prevalent these days, which is why people ask. Take it as a compliment. What they're really asking is 'Wow, this is good. Is this the level of that programme? Can it do the same to my emails?'

I can for the most part. Its the use of the lesser known fancy words I don't know.

But I do carry a small paperback dictionary in my bag at times. Why, because I'm a bad speller and my mother got me into that habit of always having a dictionary always on hand

I can see why you might be offended...I don't think that ChatGPT is particularly eloquent. Some of us are much better at writing than that program.
