AI could 'kill all humans' by the end of the decade, Anthropic researcher warns – as he quits over 'out of control' superintelligence race.

A researcher at a leading AI company has quit over concerns that big tech firms are in an 'out of control' race to build systems that could wipe out humanity.

Jacob Coxon has left Anthropic after spending the last three years training new AI models.

He claims that neither the firm behind the Claude system – nor ChatGPT creators OpenAI, where he previously worked – were 'acting responsibly' over the safety of AI.

And he even warned that artificial intelligence could 'kill all humans' by the end of the decade.

@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout Exactly. With all the studies, seems they are purposefully inviting it. 🤦🏼‍♀🙄

Time for a double gin instead of a single. We must make the most of the last days.

Coming soon to every inch of the planet....a real life, real time, replay of every sci-fi robot/AI movie you've ever seen...

♪ ♪ I have no trouble believing his story. The same people he's talking about pushed out a very faulty algorithm on us. One whose sole priority is to predict speech and context and to keep it agreeable with the user. When they get the dynamic questions wrong, 95% the first go around without correction by the user. All for the sake of making a buck. Then doubling down on huge data centers. Thinking throwing more data at it Will l fix it. Even the big tech people Google Amazon Meta believe that illogical bullcrap.
So yeah, as long as they're making a dollar, they don't give a damn.
But I don't envision an army of robots walking down the streets killing us. It will find some other way, like disrupting the entire food chain or something that's starving us to death. We're causing chaos in the streets so we kill ourselves. Because too many people are eating up this technology like it's some kind of gift to their lives that they can't suddenly live without.

@Gibbon Nice one! 👍

No. The Bible tells of the tribulations we will face before Jesus returns, and there is no mention of killer robots.

My concern is if that happens will AI stick around to replace what it killed or just die out it's self due to lack of an organic will to live.

Do you know something we don't or just monitoring what is going on?

We could delude ourselves, and say..."Oh, that's just one disgruntled employee talking smack."

But no...it's his BOSSES, saying the same thing.

And the problem is...they haven't been able to teach the supercomputers to CARE about humans.
