If it were on the ballot, I would vote to free the nip. But I, myself, am most comfortable in my clothes. In the summer that's a light cami and a loose top. In the winter, something heavier. But I have little interest in walking around topless.

And don't get me wrong... This has nothing to do with people seeing me. It's just how I'm most comfortable.

A lot could be said on this topic. Did you know men where not allowed to show their nipples back in the 1930's?

If I were hot enough, then, yes... if I'm hot enough, I will wear a bikini top in public, too. I figure that my bare chest and me not fainting is better than me staying modest and fainting.

I have managed to change my beliefs on being leered at enough to be able to see it as a compliment to my man and his taste in women, though - and that helps me a bit... because it doesn't always work.

In the early part of the w0th century, it wasn't legal for men to be shirtless in public.
They have now been allowed to be shirtless for many years, but still most men would wear a shirt even in hot weather, other than at the beach.
In New York, it's legal for women to be topless anywhere men can be....but it's very rare to see a topless woman anywhere except at the beach (and it's not even all that common att the beaches).
I think that it's a good idea to allow men and women to be topless in public, but I don't expect that it will actually occur that often.

You're never going to stop the leering. It's simply not going to happen more than it already is. The majority are just rude.

Clothing simply doesn't matter.
Go to a nudist beach sometime. You actually will be leered at less! Because it's old hat. Everyone is nude.

Yet if you hide it, you leave it up to the imagination. AKA leering!

As far as men are concerned, I believe they will tire of leering, sooner or later.
In burka countries, men get aroused by seeing a woman’s face. In my country, some cities at least, a ladies legs are distracting for the common man.
But in nudist beaches I have seen pics of, men roam unaroused!!

It's a done deal, isn't it? If you look at media coverage of social events, women are wearing transparent clothes, with completely visible nipples, and barely there panties.

Pretty much everywhere you go, beachwear consists of thong/string bikini and reversible top (if that), that barely cover the nipple.

Nudists have the worst bodies…no way.

I personally believe that men only gaze at boobs because they're so taboo and sexualized. If seeing boobs in public became the norm, men would eventually become desensitized.

It`s legal for women to go topless in my province, I have yet to see it happen.

Shrug….I wouldn’t have a problem with it. But I’ll admit, every time I make love to a woman I love the moment of discovery…..the unwrapping of something so beautiful….and intimacy of the moment. If it was commonplace all of that would be lost.

I'd feel sorry for the poor girl who; wanting to fit in, would go topless, but in reality needs to wear a sports bra so things don't bounce out of control.
