Unfortunately, yes. Guys who are looking for a victims seem to be drawn to me. I THOUGHT I had shopped around for an improvement after the 3rd ex, but my post divorce relationship was with a man who, though he would never dream of hurting me physically, had the verbal abuse ticket punched to pieces.
I would say those who would rather settle for what they don’t really want than be lonely, but I recognize I’m more comfortable with a familiar sense of being a bit unworthy than I would be with a more intense interest, so it’s not just that I attract them but that I settle for being settled for. Some of us just don’t know how to do this right. 🙄🙃
There have been many different types, but the ones who stand out the most are those who are considered “endommagé; by society.” They had the greatest impact on me—positively and negatively.
