Micro behaviors vs High Heels

Walked in to a crowded chaotic meeting room this morning...

A " boys club " atmosphere occurs by happenstance as I remain the solo chick on the floor of our practice.

Caffeinated squirrels all attempting to out chat..out loud.

I never join in...raise my voice nor add to the comradery as their men only speal never seeks to include me.

I take a seat...sit quietly....as if I've all the time in the world while NBA player stats are traded like stock.

Thing is, we all have these neurons in our brain that are drawn to mimic the lone behavior....the quite in the storm.

A glance...then another...and soon I have their attention.

Scrubs and a lab coat we all share so its not attire that draws them...

But the calm.

So SWadies, find strength in your peace, allow a pause and your breath be your first response....

...and never make yourself small for small men.
