Wow, that is difficult, there are so many. I do prefer the impressionists. Van Gogh's starry night is probably my favorite but I also love Manet's works.

I recently saw the GW crossing the Delaware - that painting is huge and quite amazing, a lot to look at...

Georges Seurat's A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte. i was inspired to paint a follow-up with less people and i call it "earlier that afternoon"
