National Wildlife Day

Today, Sept. 4, is National Wildlife Day.

The primary focus is on endangered species and their habitat and the need to continue preservation and conservation efforts.

The day was created in honor of wildlife conservationist Steve Irwin in 2005. It is now observed in his memory.

Posted above is a brief video of a friendly encounter between a human and a seal. It’s a sweet scene, for sure, though I might be concerned about getting a nasty infection known as Seal finger.

@Rutterman WWF has been more aggressively asking for more money from me. I wish they would stop sending things though, that cost money to produce. I always state do not send me things, just use my money for programs.
