Are coyotes lone hunters or do they hunt in packs?
Adrift · 61-69, F
@Heartlander They usually hunt in packs.
But I have seen them cruising the neighborhood alone too.
My sister lived out in a rural area and their dog was taken down by a pack of coyotes.

Watch out for YOUR little feral guy.

@4meAndyou I can’t catch that cat or any of the other larger ones. I have taken a couple to the animal shelter about 3 years ago and caught a baby who was crying on my doorstep. Held it up to a female feral who hangs around looking for food and she hissed at it. So I took it to the shelter. It was so skinny and barely had gotten his eyes open. They said it was wormy and they gave it a worm shot before I left the shelter.
The neighbor next door has a pile of junk on his back patio and they stay under there or under a pile brush he left by his fence. He has fence panels down on that side making it easy for anything to wander in the back yard. But the way the wild dogs can jump a fence wouldn’t stop them anyway. Me and boy watched a large red fox run in an empty lot and scale a fence without stopping and go over it. Probably looking for dog food sitting in yards to eat.
