I wouldn't do it now, but did you ever pick an insect up and put it on a spiders web when you were growing up?

When my kids were young I did that once because they wanted to and I didn’t want them to touch the other insect. It was so gross

I used to do that with boxelder bugs. Darn things were everywhere, so I didn't feel bad. I'm pretty sure that's one of those insect species that exist to be food.
