There is something big and black on my ceiling

When I arrived home from work and sat is my sitting chair I espy directly above me a massive Black House Spider.
Without a doubt, it must be 8 - 10 mm long. 😱
It has not moved for 3 hours.
What am I to do? No doubt it will be gone by morning but where will it be gone to 😱
