Have you heard of any rare animals running around your area? A bear ran in front of my car while I was visiting someone in Connecticut and if that wasn’t enough of a shocker for me, I saw this guy was seen in NY by a friend 😱
We had our first ever bear enter the city last May. He got up a tall tree and there was all kind of people there, police, game rangers, etc trying to lure him down. They were afraid that he’d be a threat after dark in a residential area. Ended up with him dying. 😭 No one here was happy about that.
@MellyMel22 they had seen bears as near as 40 miles here in the past couple of years. They are migrating from southeastern Oklahoma or maybe straying out of their territory during mating season.
Lynx are not all that rare . Like Bobcats here … they are a lot more common than you think . We have bear in Texas now too . Texas used to be covered up with them and then they moved north . Now they are coming back . They are cool to see ! 😉
@TexChik I see them ducking in and out of the woodlands and running along the banks of the bayou. Every so often one will wander into one of the neighborhoods. And they make great gator food too lol
Most likely have been there the whole time. Stealthy and shy. The Lynx would adapt to an urban setting easily. The bear was most likely just passing through. Pushed by other bigger bears to find its own territory.
nah we got bears here. now the mountain lion thats a new one. Moose are new / re-induced / the wolves are doing good ......umm pls dont wear your Little Red Riding Hood costume 🐺
@ClassifiedHe hasn’t been seen. The one from my area was a baby, still big enough though. The one that ran in front of my car was huge, but it was outta state. .
@JoyfulSilenceI think so, people in the area there think it’s a bobcat which is what I assumed but after talking to Tex and seeing the differences online, I think you guys are right.
Looks like that cat that visits me!! Exept hes smaller.. Hes rare enough. Hopefully not dangerous.. This is his ancient ancestor. I heard house cats are from a desert breed. We also get raccoons and they keep eating the cats food soo annoying!
@LordShadowfire I totally agree with you. When we start reducing their habitat due to human greed for land, we end up reducing their food source and they have no choice but to look for food where humans live.
