Hold perfectly still and let nature take its due course?

The main concern will be to use whatever senses you can to avoid the rattlesnake. Most likely the rattlesnake is going to be most interested in the mouse. Also rattlers tend to ambush usually staying at ground level, they will ambush and strike at anything that moves suddenly. Hawks eat rattlesnakes, I’m not sure about owls but they are very similar to hawks and might.

Crouch in the fetal position on top of the table?

Search the perimeter of the room for a door knob?

I take a moment to ponder the situation. The bat, I realise, is having no trouble navigating, since it relies on echolocation. The owl has such good hearing that it can find the mouse in the dark. So can the rattlesnake, which detects the heat that the rodent is giving off. The spider is similarly unfazed by the blackout, because it senses the world through vibrations. The mosquito follows the carbon dioxide I'm emitting and lands on my shin. I try to swat it away, but because I am so dependent on vision I miss it and instead end up stepping on the rattler.

Listen to the rattle snake, avoid it. Find a wall to touch to get my barings and look for a crack of light under a door or window. Then calmly go there.

Tell the owl to eat the mouse, the spider, and the snake.

The only one that would bother me is the rattle snake.
Leave the room and lock it after.

Killing everything

I'd sit or lie down and not move. What i wouldnt do is touch the floor cuz i might step on the rattler. The mouse and spider would be gone by the time the lights come on..just worried the owl and snake would fight over who gets the mouse:-(
BarbossasHusband · 36-40, M
I'd kill the snake with the bat and use the sunlight coming through the windows as my light source, and chase the rest of my visitors out. 🤷♀️
