A person who asked you to chat on another platform such as Whatsapp and shared their mobile phone number with you, after you had told them you only talk via SW?
During all my years on SW (and previously on EP) there's only a handful of people I've shared my phone number with - and that was after building up a close and trusting relationship online.
@samueltyler2 I just blocked him. He made me very uncomfortable with the fact that he asked once and then didn't listen when I said I wouldn't talk on any other platforms. I don't want to chat with someone who doesn't respect my boundaries like that. 😒
It happens all the time, usually within 5 messages after the start of a conversation. They're probably trying to scam people and don't like the warnings SW give, so they want to first take their victims to a platform where those are more vulnerable.

Yeah I'm never a big fan of that either like what's the matter with where we're chatting now
Maybe if a person was interested in another person they might go overboard. As long as you are clear in your responses then people should respect that. But hopefully you wouldnt actually fall out over it..
@SecretSquirrel The thing that worried me was not that he asked but that once I'd said no and mm are it clear I wasn't going to give him my number, he tried again and asked a second time. That's why I blocked him. I couldn't trust him after that.
I would assume they want to talk to you but don’t care to come here. For myself when I’m e agreed to do this, it doesn’t last long because I do not use WhatsApp or any other platform so I’m bad at checking up on them.
He's probably trying to escalate whatever relationship he believes you two share. That or he's impatient and he wants to use something that provides more immediacy in responses. Or both.
