"Nothing" as an answer will not be accepted.

Tell something good about yourself. Something that makes you feel good even if in secret. Something that made you or makes you feel proud of yourself.

"Nothing" doesn't count. No modesty accepted either.

Me first...

I really try to make people feel happy or better about themselves. I really try to be nice and a good person. It's part of a promise I made a couple of years ago to someone very special
It's not easy sometimes. It actually very hard. Hell it's actually not easy all the time, so more times than not I end up saying... F*** it .. I tried.. F*** off!!

But the very few times it works it makes me real happy and humble inside.

You,?? What makes you feel proud and happy inside ?

I also like to make dogs happy. I've had to big relationships in my life and they both showed me about dogs and how special they are.
One showed me about pitt bulls , the other taught me about rescued dogs.
Now that they have both left, I remember them everyday when I play with my dogs. Makes me happy when I come to the house and they go crazy when they see me.
I'm a tipper. I tipped the grocery store checkout lady this morning. Who does that?

@rinkydinkydoink That's fantastic!! Good on you,!!
Was she happy???
@CurrentName

Let me tell you - this was the first time I've ever done this AND it may be the first time she ever got a tip as a checkout lady because she looked surprised. I know they're under constant CCT observation so I was surprised she didn't say something like "Oh, we're not allowed to accept tips".

Dude that's fucking awesome!!
That made me feel soft inside like I was almost there. I'm sure you made her day. That's super cool and super Manly too.
I've never done that. I'm going to try next time I go to the store!!!
Thank you for sharing that. You've taught me something!! 😑

I'm a loyal friend, and I try to be helpful when I can be.

@DragonFruit
That counts more than people think you know???
There have been times when I've been in a bad situation and those you expect to help suddenly find an excuse to disappear.
It's always that one quiet friend that you don't even see everyday who comes thru out of nowhere and saves your life.
They don't come with fireworks or parades. They come quietly, give you a hug, stick 500 dollars in your pocket and walk away leaving you standing there ashamed and almost in tears like a wet dog.
A friend that's there when no one else is. Is worth more than a hundred fun friends that never leave as long as things are good.
Thank you for your answer.

Well my friend you can't beat that. And you should be proud. I'm sure they are proud of having you. I wish I could say the same.

I like to help those in need, those down and out, etc. I've done a lot of volunteer charity work, gave and still do to worthwhile organizations helping others, etc. Every Christmas I try to find a needy single parent family who wouldn't have a Christmas for their kids and make it happen for them.
CurrentName · 51-55, MNew
@Ontheroad
My mom used to do that.. she'd take me every Christmas eve to poor kids families ( mind you we were poor too ) and she'd have me give them the gifts. I used to hate it. I felt she MADE me do it. I didn't get it then.
I wish now we were still doing it.
That you do that is pretty big. Good on you!!!
Ontheroad · M
@CurrentName she was planting seeds and knew as you grew into manhood you'd be a better person for it. And you writing "I wish now we were still doing it." tells me she succeeded.

I'm not wealthy myself, but I know I have more than many others do, so it feels good to "pay it forward".

@Ontheroad I understand that now. I didn't then. Thank you for your response. It brought back memories from long long long ago.
I'll call her tomorrow and tell her about it. She'll be happy. Thank you again.

I'm really patient with people and compassionate. I know the feeling of people acting above you, talking down, pouting out mistakes etc..it feels horrible... But why not share tiny morsels of joy if possible Instead?? It just makes everyone feel lighter and since we are here just a short time, I choose lighter for anyone and everyone if possible.

I used to know an art woman. She taught me about the "liminal" in between places. This reminds me of her.

It makes me a bit sad. She is now herself an in between space.

You have a lot of good pics.
