I talked to older men online all the time when I was in college who were honestly better emotional support to me than my actual dad. I met plenty of kind men who helped me without being creepy or asking for anything in return. Made some good friends.

Always good to have a mentor. Older mentors have more life experience to help guide you.

Asking for advice from someone that has less or equal experience is self defeating, nothing weird about getting advice from someone that's had more time to think.
