I thought I was, but it's just that I rather keep to myself and dislike being the center of attention, so me being rather "quiet", and the fact that I rather listen than talk, may convey the impression that I'm "shy"... I also dislike crowds and social gatherings...

Yes. Less shy now than I was as a child (I had trouble making friends as a kid due to my excessive shyness) but I'm still generally a shy person. I'm less introverted than most shy people (the two are not the same thing) and that can be especially frustrating.
