How to stick to it?

I keep working out for 3-5 days before quitting. Every time.

A lot of people start off going hard and quit because it's too hard!

I recommend building the habit before you increase the intensity. Do something active but not difficult. I like yoga. Do 10 minutes a day. Then 15. Make it a habit. Build on that.

@Doomflower I have been doing yoga stretches for 10 mins after work, before I sleep. I took a week off work and I stopped that as well. I am trying to get back into it.

what helps me is to remember how good it makes me feel so that instead of forcing myself to do something I don't like to do, I am giving myself access to a super good sensation.

It's this...

2 minutes. That's the only commitment you make to yourself. I will work out for 2 minutes every day. That's all you have to do.

You'll end up doing more. Make a bigger and bigger commitment and you'll find excuses.

@Abstraction I started off with 10mins a day. After work. And Stretching after waking up. I stopped the morning routine one day I woke up late. and I took off work and stopped the after work one too.

@Bbgv14 That's why you commit to 2 minutes only. 10 minutes is too hard and you then beat yourself up if you don't keep it up. 2 minutes will help you keep your commitment - even if it seems silly - and not feel discouraged. You have to trick your mind using the 2 minute commitment.

@Abstraction Thank you , I have to try this!

@MellyMel22 Yep, aim of my life :)

@Bbgv14 [c=#BF0080]The fitness thing I belong to has schedules that can be followed or monthly challenges where they email like 4 types of workouts and you pick one. I’m liking that better than the schedule. But it’s a monthly subscription. [/c]

@RightSaidFred Something to strengthen the back, sitting jobs are a pain in the back, literally!

Start small. If you push yourself too far at the start, you'll put yourself off continuing. When you don't feel like working out, remind yourself that it'll be easier in the future if you can get through the days when you don't feel like it.

Another thing is to set yourself a specific goal to work towards. It should motivate you to get it done.

@SW-User All I want is to strengthen my back. Sitting all day is whats causing issues.
