Who do you have to win Euro 2021? [I Love Football]

Obviously want the Netherlands to win but we're missing so many key players I don't think it's likely. I'm predicting Portugal.

France, Germany, maybe even Belgium. Portugal no chance, they won't even reach the semis. England have a lot of good players to choose from too

Germany or France are the main contenders for me.

I'm from Portugal but I think we have the same odds as Spain and Netherlands. And since we're in the same group as France and Germany I think we might not even make it past the group stage.

But I must admit I am feeling good about the new players establishing themselves. Players like Jota and André Silva up front, Ruben Neves in midfield and Ruben Dias at the back.

@helenS I'll see it when it happens. It's april the cup is in june. If Germanny gets out of their pool [i](which is verry often their problem)[/i] then they have a history of growing in the tournament. There is enough talent and experience in that team, even when they are playing bad now, to still play a good tournament.

I took over in 1984 when my Dad passed away always putting a quid on England in the Euros or World Cup - I can't remember when I decided inflation meant it should rise to a fiver but it did some years back.

It's the only gambling I ever do these days and as I say mostly in memory of Dad. He always used to bring the betting slip home and put it in the fruit bowl on the dining table - then we'd rip it up ceremonly after they were knocked out and put it in his ash tray where it would get burnt up eventually. I've not smoked since before Dad died so I just put it under a fridge magnet on the fridge now. Again it used to be ripped up in a ceremony after we lost 🤣
