What is the best diet for losing weight fast?

i tried nutrisystem and i don't think that is healthy at all. and i only lose ten pounds and then gain it back immediately if i stop. i need a real new reality to dieting. i used to be too thin and was killing myself to keep weight on and now i have the opposite problem.help me...

You don't need a diet...they nearly ensure yo-yo gain and loss. Instead, find a healthy and sensible eating plan. Age doesn't help any of us, but any plan that emphasizes lean protein, veggies and cutting simple carbs out is effective. If you want to try meal replacement (not more than twice a day), whey isolate protein is great, as it's low in sugar and carbs and doesn't build muscle mass. You can nearly double the benefits by moving your body regularly. Good luck.

eat fresh colourful food, not processed junk, tinned or packets. exercise, drink a bit of water. enjoy your foods you need to there a massive part of your life, and its the only way you'll sustain your weight -- diet its a made up word to generate billions world wide.. eat simple you know what to do really...

Have you had your thyroid checked out? A lot of people have trouble as they age losing weight due to thyroid issues. The best diet for me to lose weight is low carb but I think it's always a good idea to talk to your doctor or a nutritionist.
@SW-User just had my blood work done. i had an issue with B12 because of an accident but it healed. my thyroid is fine, but it was off kilter before we moved to the country. so it isn't my thyroid, but i am old...so i can't stop eating meat...and i won't stop eating meat.

@LILY61 A low carb diet is a high meat diet not the other way around. It's mostly meats and some lower carb veggies and fruit.
@SW-User i only mentioned the meat thing because alot of people suggest vegetarian.
Try keto. I lost like 40 pounds in a month doing this.

Cut out processes food and drinks, no sugar, roughly 50g of carbs(complex only) a day.

@LILY61 not as bad as it seems really. Brocoli sweet potato and avocados are staples in my "diet"

@Subsumedpat You know, I just read a study on that. There's a lot of reason to believe this is true.
