@JS1992 yes and use very neutral words instead of saying “i have a problem with...” say something like “ i have a concern about...” very neutral words that do not imply negativity.

Skills to Sending messages-

know what to say
When to say it
Where to say it]How to say it..ex assertively, openly directly etc
Keep it simple
Keep it clear be heared
EYE CONTACT
Observe other person's reaction
Consistent verbal and non verbal- WHAT you're say has to match with HOW you say it

Receiving messages-

Clear prejugice
Try to understand the reason behind message
Ask for clarifications
Active listening- listen with full attention not just hear
Listen positively - not just what you want to argue against
Attend to the contend in the words AND the feeling behind them


Non-verbal attending

Sit squarely
Open posture
Lean forward
Eye-contact
Relatively relaxed
Listen to hear, not to reply.
Repeat what you have heard briefly so you can be certain you heard correctly.
Validate feelings. "I understand that you are feeling...."
Be empathetic. Seriously it works.
Eliminate distractions.
Focus your attention on the person.
If the time isn't good for communication, arrange another time.
Face the person at his or her level.
Maintain good eye contact.
Do not wriggle. Stare. Avoid eye contact. Cross your arms. Sit straight.

listening, sincerely trying to understand why someone thinks the way they do, express why you think the way you do as opposed to assuming your perspective is the truth. result: " i think the way I do because of this and that and I understand that you think the way you think because of this and that"

LISTEN. Don't sit and quietly craft your response while the other is still talking. Devote 100% of your attention to the words and the meaning behind them. Evaluate the sentiments, then your response will come naturally.
