i’m prob an expert in this arena. no lie. i have lots advice because in my profession communication is paramount above all other skills. i also have relatives and extended family that cannot take any kind of criticisms so you have to word shitty messages in ways that sound poetic.
my advice is to word things in the positive. avoid saying “don’t, shouldn’t, won’t, isn’t, never,” etc example, instead of saying “you never throw the garbage away!” say something like “i find that i am picking up after you a lot despite asking several times to put the garbage in the can”
