I Love Physics

I'm reading a book about anti-gravity. It's impossible to put down.
meat18 · 56-60, M
what was the title of the book?
meat18 · 56-60, M
@SomeMichGuy i know. i was being sarcastic. but thank you!
@meat18 lmao sarcasm and other "tones" don't typically come across here
@meat18 "What Goes Up, Must Go Up"
That is why the cow couldn’t land on the moon! 😉

A couple neutrons walk into a bar, and the bartender slides a couple beers their way.

“Thanks,” says one.
“What do we owe you?” asks the other.

“For you guys? No charge.”
irishmolly72 · 56-60, F
@AbbySvenz Isn't it fun to relive 5th grade?
GerOttman · 61-69, M
I started reading a book about electrons. It was just too much negativity for me, I never finished it.
irishmolly72 · 56-60, F
@GerOttman So you never got much of a charge out of it?
Universeoflove · 56-60, M
Admirable. Not too many people reading those kinds of books...they are surprising interesting.
irishmolly72 · 56-60, F
@Universeoflove Thank you. It's so uplifting!
Universeoflove · 56-60, M
I totally get it. It's attempting to understand our world and if you understand it it is so interesting. I've read books on relativity and also "A brief history of time" by Steven Hawkins and also some other similar books. Reading these books makes me enjoy life.@irishmolly72
Universeoflove · 56-60, M
@irishmolly72 you are welcome.
I'm writing a book on reverse psychology. Don't buy it!

@LarrysReflections Geez I'm all twisted around.
I’ll have to get back to you on that, no, won’t yes I will no yes nyoesiwwoilnlt @irishmolly72
irishmolly72 · 56-60, F
@Melies Sorry you are in such a Mixed State.
exexec · 61-69, C
Hah! Very good!
irishmolly72 · 56-60, F
@exexec I'm kind of quarky like that.
CharlieZ · 70-79, M
Read about the confirmation of gravitational waves.
This is shaking a 90 years debate on the unification of physics.
irishmolly72 · 56-60, F
@CharlieZ Well I'll be.
@CharlieZ ? Try 2015 for the first detection of gravity waves.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_observation_of_gravitational_waves

This was the basis for the Nobel Prize in Physics being awarded to Kip Thorne et al.

Now the unification based in quantum views is haves a hole of the size of the relativistic universe.

I have no idea what you are trying to convey here...?
@irishmolly72
@CharlieZ But are the hypotheses in it testable?

Perhaps you were thinking about General Relativity (GR), as a whole, which has been notoriously difficult to test in that many effects are quite small (in the neighborhood of the Earth, the Sun, and our Solar System); in fact, Einstein doubted that a signal as small as gravity waves could be detected.

[This is why Gravity Probe B was so important; see
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gravity_Probe_B. This actually tested two different GR effects, which was a stroke of genius.]

Haha very good

What did you find out? From what I read, there is somewhat of a theoretical construct for the principle, but no practical way is known of harnessing it.
XReaganX · 26-30, F
I admire you
@irishmolly72 didn't want to get entangled with the wrong crowd?
irishmolly72 · 56-60, F
@Melies But it would have put me in a superposition!
@irishmolly72 watch out if you undergo a measurement
I’m reading about loop gravity... hard to put it all together. But I love Rovelli’s writing.
jackson55 · M
Levitation ?
irishmolly72 · 56-60, F
@jackson55 She's like a dog pod.
jackson55 · M
@irishmolly72 My dog will get all four off the ground when catching a frisbe.
irishmolly72 · 56-60, F
@jackson55 I bet he's sooo cute!
TexChik · F
Hahahaha... intellectual humor! Live it 😁
irishmolly72 · 56-60, F
@TexChik I live it every day!
ronisme1 · 61-69, M
Really, i thought chemistry and physics were boring. Now Biology.....
ronisme1 · 61-69, M
hehehehe- good one
irishmolly72 · 56-60, F
@ronisme1 we need some light-hearted humor. right?
ronisme1 · 61-69, M
@irishmolly72 all the time thank you -

It sounds like it's off the planet 😬
Livingwell · 61-69, M
I loved physics in school.

Ha! I see what you did there 😂
denvixen35 · 41-45, C
Whats this anti gravity about ???
Universeoflove · 56-60, M
I am reading a book about female and male attractive force which can be exceptionally strong under the right environment and the proper balance of chemistry. It's very interesting how this can lead to other implications.
Harriet03 · 41-45, F
NO atmosphere 🤔
Did you hear about the photon who went on vacation?
Wishingwellguy · 46-50, M
lol . Saw that one coming !
irishmolly72 · 56-60, F
@Wishingwellguy Just call me the Queen of Obvious!
ouch - that one hurt :)
