What would society be like if people were allowed to show up to work when they felt like it? 馃槄

It鈥檇 be like jobs were all staffed by 16-year olds...*remembering how they would not call in when they鈥檇 be late or were sick, etc, how they would quit without any notice, and how many lasted one week to maybe a month*

@cherokeepatti Walmart? I can't say I'm surprised lol. I almost took a job at a Walmart in 2015, and I'm glad I just stayed where I was at the time 馃槀.
I agree with that, I spent almost a year working around stupid kids. I think it should be illegal to work at all under 18. I have worked at many jobs with 16 and 17 year olds and they have all been bad employees and for some reason management never fires them, I would have.

@Girlyfriendcollecting I worked at home like I was getting paid when I was a teen, I would have loved to have gotten some money working a job back then, lived way out in the country and didn鈥檛 have a car.

I have certain projects that require me to be to work at certain times, but those aren't every day, or even every week. I usually set my own schedule, with the parameters of I need to get the work done and shouldn't go into overtime for non-billable hours. I like not having to worry about being late, or feeling bad about stopping for a coffee on the way to work.

A very good question. I work when I feel like it and get more done than the average person.

I don't know what you are talking about, but I like the sound of it.

Gee I couldn't see that causing issues 馃槒馃槀

@SW-User For businesses it would, as some wouldn't have enough employees on a particular day to get anything done 馃槄.
PrivateHellM
There would be no jobs, hence no society
I dread the thought of working another 30 years 馃槚

our new feudal lords frown upon this idea...
I sort of do that now

@Psycho Yeah, but the people don't like to be regimented.

@Psycho Yeah, I guess that's so... but that's not necessarily advanced. Society can create great things... and advance... although things might cost more.
