Is Trump betraying American interests for personal gain?

The latest (New York) Times investigation into the president’s tax data and other records found that more than 200 companies, special-interest groups and foreign governments had patronized Mr. Trump’s properties, funneling in millions of dollars, while reaping benefits from him and his administration.

“As president, Mr. Trump built a system of direct presidential influence-peddling unrivaled in modern American politics,” writes an investigative team that has been covering the president’s finances and taxes for almost four years.
Nyt.. that’s all I need to know

@puck61 There's nothing biased in the question this post poses. Would it be illegal for Trump, as president to accept millions for giving foreigners preference over Americans?
@LucyGray Trump has done nothing illegal. That is why leftist pus pockets have to fabricate crimes. If Trump had done anything illegal, he would have been prosecuted considering the vicious irrational hatred for him by so many spineless subhumans.
@puck61 he’s so guilty.. they impeached him on a ph call 😏👍.

Arnt they continually trying to link trump to epstien? Why not get him for that? 🤷‍♂️
Nawww....that's Hunter, James, and Quid Quo Pro Joe.....🤑

I haven't seen Trump receive anything except scrutiny for every move or comment. Congress controls the checkbook, if there was a dime of government aid being sent directly to Trump or any of his businesses, it would be leaked before the proof was even there. If there was any inkling that Trump was benefitting from a foreign power, it would be on the news. His impeachment was to try to prove with no evidence what Joe Biden admitted freely to in an interview. Anyone who reads an opinion piece and then does their own verification can see that the liberal candidates are corrupt to the core.

@Roadsterrider

Trump's impeachment came after a formal investigation alleged that he had solicited foreign interference in the 2020 U.S. presidential election to help his re-election bid, and then obstructed the inquiry itself by telling his administration officials to ignore subpoenas for documents and testimony.

What does this have to do with Biden? Nothing.
Roadsterrider · 56-60, M
@cheesenpickles Biden strong armed the president of the Ukraine threatening to withhold foreign aid from the US unless the prosecutor investigating a private firm, "Burisma", was fired. The VP of the US threating foreign aid to be cut off if his interests in that foreign company were not respected. Sounds like extortion to me. And Joe Biden responded, "You're damn right I did ." when asked about it in an interview.

Trump was impeached, the reasons stated by Pelosi, Biden and others, extortion by threatening the same thing Joe Biden admitted to in an interview. In the end he was charged with obstructing congress and abuse of power. Neither of which had anything to do really with Ukraine. And he was acquitted on both counts. Not guilty. And as much scrutiny as President Trump has been under, there isn't any way that it could be there without being exposed. It has everything in the world to do with Joe Biden, if you believe Trump isn't fit to be president because of issues like this, how do you defend Joe Biden who proudly proclaimed he did exactly what the president was accused of?

When it comes to women, Trump said "Wealthy and powerful men can grab a woman by the p&^%$" if they wanted in an off the record comment. The truth is that some women are okay with that as long as it is a wealthy or powerful man. Joe Biden on the other hand some years ago allegedly pushed a woman against the wall and forcibly penetrated her with his fingers. We aren't supposed to worry about that though. If we are going to take a puritanical view on morality, it seems to me that all incidents should be investigated with equal thoroughness. Personally, I think forcibly entering one's body with no consent is worse than thinking it might be okay to touch because of your position or status.

And you think the NYT is being an honest reporter why?
TexChik · F
The NYT ? Please 🙄. They don’t investigate , they create . They were on board with all the Russia crap helping add to the narrative . Now we know via declassified documents that Hillary and the CIA and Obama floated that story to get attention off her obstruction of justice email scandal . The NYT are propagandists. And as usual
, have no proof , just weekly accusations

@cheesenpickles Trump said he wants us too but Dr. Faucci and company want to rake a few 100 million in on a vaccine
cheesenpickles · 26-30, F
@JT123 You mean the vaccine that Trump has been talking about?

"As soon as a vaccine is approved the administration will deliver it to the American people immediately," Trump said at a White House news briefing on Friday. "Distribution will begin with 24 hours after notice."

?????

@cheesenpickles Yes he said that and perhaps you missed him saying when he left the hospital that he wants all covid patients to receive the same treatment he did? Look it up, he said it!

Lobbyists who have thrived under Donald Trump’s administration continue to do so in the throes of a pandemic, according to a new report from watchdog group Public Citizen. At least 40 lobbyists with ties to Trump—through his campaign, his inaugural committee, his transition team, or his administration—have either lobbied or registered to lobby on COVID-related issues, helping clients secure more than $10.5 billion in federal coronavirus aid in total. “The crisis offered an especially lucrative opportunity for those lobbyists who enjoy close ties to President Donald Trump and his administration—and they seized it.”

So much for "Draining the Swamp" 🙄

@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout Wow. Just like Pizzagate all over again 🙄
Roadsterrider · 56-60, M
@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout Trumps adjusted earned income for 2019 was $150 million and he paid in $38 million according to the source below. He paid in over 25% of what he earned. At a $150M a year, he is making close to what Hunter Biden is making at Burisma. I wonder how much Hunter paid in in 2019.
