@JS1992 I have seen a few documentaries on this and from my understanding it is a case of growing up in that lifestyle and when this is a taught behaviour it would be extremely hard to break. Especially when from an early age they are home-schooled ,if one of the lucky ones that is, and basically kept away from the rest of the communities . And then there is all the prejudice against them which I suppose it is part of the reasons why they isolate themselves so much . It is all around sad ,especially for the children . There is no quality of life in that

Here is a good article explaining how they are often being kept back by both existing stereotypes that others hold, especially in a professional environment, and also their own culture. I think it is best to be understanding and try to help in our own way while taking under consideration what their circumstances may be. And I see a lot of people calling you racist,lol. It is not racist,this is a community of people that has their own idioms and ethics. Not all,again,but the majority. It is more racist to turn a blind eye to it and let the issues continue,out of fear of being called racist. smh

Actually yeah, I was told that repeatedly when I was job hunting back in the day. I stole those watches because I was told over and over that I can't have a job. So, I stole something. What else do you expect me to do? Starve to death? Live at the fucking Salvation Army for the rest of my life?
