I was in eighth grade taking an algebra test before school officially started so that I could go to a cross country meet during my algebra class time later in the day. The meet got postponed.

Watching IMUS IN THE MORNING on MSNBC(?) when the first report came in; then watching live as the second plane hit.
Getting my kids ready for school. Until my neighbor burst through my door bawling and ranting., I had no idea.
I was in bed, crying as I watched the towers collapse.

I was in midair. I left one of the same airports as a hijacked flight. Same airline. Same make of jet. Same departure time. No kidding. We just happened to be flying to a different location. I was really fortunate.
@Harmonium1923 Omg…😱

i was at home, watching it live on the television. it was surreal, and then it turned horrific when people started jumping and when the towers collapsed.
@pentacorn yea and I imagine even though its messed up to say but alot of people likely got killed instantly when the plane hit anyways
pentacorn · F
@ExperienceDLT absolutely that happened, no doubt. it was essentially a flying bomb. some were definitely killed instantly.
@pentacorn yea sadly

I was in the machine shop at work when it came over the radio. I remember sitting on a stack of pallets and breaking little pieces of wood off them as it progressed. My hands were full of slivers that night.
I was in South Carolina during my trip around the US and a friend from Sweden messaged and told us to turn on the tv.
Cloud7593 · 46-50, F
@Mamapolo2016 Oh cool. I live in S. Carolina.
@Cloud7593 Lovely place.
I was working in houston, there was a client I'd been getting ready to go see on site in the financial district, but they were kind of a pain in the ass... so I never went.
Was in the shower when the first plane hit. Was watching when the second hit on live tv. Watched the towers fall and people jumping from work
Saw it on breaking news just before vhf I was getting ready to go into work

@Cloud7593 Thanks. I transferred some camcorder tapes of the Towers so the Evening News could use them. It just was so surreal.
