One of the best writers of the last 50 years. Never read one of his books I dislike, and some are just spellbinding, wonderful. Simple prose style generally, but very skillful at developing likeable characters that engage, and a straightforward narrative that draws you in and keeps you wondering.
He has to be one of the better writers,i have been a avid reader of his books both under his own name and under his pet name,Richard Bachman,i have every single book he has ever written,mind you in saying that the man has one twisted sense of humour and morality,but that is what make him who he is
King is a good writer, but he has become so successful that no one is able to edit him properly. Almost all of his books could stand a significant amount of creative editing.
I used to read his books and loved how he described the setting and overall atmosphere of the places. My most favorite books were Duma Key and Under the Dome.
I've been a fan of his books since I was a teenager. He has taken my mind on some interesting journeys to say the least. He holds a place of honour in my mind.
