Why do so many people think that God is related to science?

I can understand religion and stories, but God? It just does not connect with me

At the moment it's pretty intensely unscientific to make concrete claims either way, as we have no ways of detecting a supercosmic entity either directly or indirectly nor do we have any means of proving the absence of such an entity. Though one thing that is probably safe to say is that any supercosmic entity will be innately inhuman and thus very highly unlikely to fit the human concept of "God." 🤷‍♀️

@UndeadPrivateer this is EXACTLY my point! The truth and existence of the Creator has NOTHING t do with our vision, induction, deduction, and conclusions. God existing is never a choice of anything that we know XD

Because science is often used by atheists in an attempt to disprove theists’ beliefs. Consequently some theists feel they need to use Science to disprove atheists’ claims.

@BlueMetalChick here is the thing, you seem to approach the universe in a such that God is not interacting with or dealing with the universe in any way .-.

I am lowkey not too far from it, but if God exists and communicated with mankind somehow, it really doesn't seem to be the case that God would reveal Himself directly and individually to each and every single one of us and give us a miracle message written on pure light that says exactly what you want or I want ._.

Considering that, I am not going to tell you anything from what I believe. It is up to you to think about it if you even care XD
But honestly, if science is not enough for you to prove God, what are you proving? .-.

Any good science seeks to unravel all the mysteries of the universe.

@Reject No, I am saying that no amount of study can come in contact with God XD
God is not part of the physical and natural world we live in and study is all I am saying

We can change and manipulate LOTS of stuff *__*
Just not God Himself if God exists, ya feel me? So how can we scientifically prove God?
Reject · 26-30, M
@SW-User That doesn't change anything. The point still stands, it's crazy to think no amount of study regarding God will yield any results ever. God is not part of the physical and natural world we currently know. That could change with time unless you're going to say you're some prophet who can predict what will happen. You're too busy being stuck in what we know and not in what we could know which is a huge part of science. At least you know how to ask the right questions, even if you dismiss them without giving them a chance. What was that Albert Einstein quote?

[image deleted]Maybe that's not word for word, but hopefully you can see his point.

@Reject that is a great point

You could get a few things out of the Bible. Luke when it says that God decided the boundaries of the sea and said it cannot go beyond that. You could interpret that as God establishing the rules of physics. 🙂
Or did you mean your it differently?

@SW-User I call myself an atheist but the truth of the matter is, I'm just like every other person in the world in that I have no clue what's gonna happen to me when I die, and as much as I wish I did know that, I haven't got any means to ascertain that information without actually dying. And everyone else is the exact same way. So I wanna stay ignorant of what occurs after death as long as I can, considering that means I'm still alive.
SW-User
@BlueMetalChick I see where you are coming from, and that is true for me, too

Honestly speaking, I just think we don't lead a pointless existence where we live and death means we vanish. Our bodies remain but the wonderous entity known as the mind and life that commandeers this body suddenly doesn't exist anymore is illogical to an extent. There can be more or less to death :p
But we can find and answer if there is one, right?
